Drying method...
It's been 20-22c in the tent ideally i want 15/16c at 60% but I can only work with what I have.
The hysterious on my dehumidifier is 7-8% that imo is too much later in the drying process but fine to get get the initial moisture content down.
By my reckoning if i can control humidity in the tent then by default i control the drying period regardless of temperature, i think?
That's nothing scientific only my logic.
So 1st day i set the dehumidifier too high it was coming on at 67/68% and switching off at 73/74% that's no good in my climate.
The next day I adjusted the dehumidifier so it comes on at 67-68% and switces off at 60-61% I also had the extractor fan just ticking over and 2x oscillating fans one in the tray and another above the harvest, both on slow and both oscillating and not hitting the flowers directly.
That was fine for the 1st 4 days but then the humidity dips and peaks were getting longer in between cycles, i also noticed i didn't know where the water in the dehumidifier was coming from, was it from the plants or was it from being pulled in by the extractor fan?
So yesterday i pulled the vent ducting off so the scrubbed air was being recirculated back into the tent room.
I then got my cycle timer and messed around with that and the dehumidifier controller until I got the humidity between 59%/62% at 21/22c
The cycle times are 3 mins on and 12 mins off.
Allowing for a bit more humidity should help offset the temperature?
Well that's the plan anyway.
When I was hanging the flowers i put a thin larfy stem near the door so it's readily available, today it's dry to the touch but still soft and pliable... Spot on if i do say so myself lol.
Eta... when I adjusted the dehumidifier the final time using the cycle timer i also switched off the extractor fan and sealed the ducts.
I've a fan and filter sitting in the room mopping up anything that might leak out.
