Spider farmer SF 4000/ what next?

I love the SF 4000. I started using it in April 2020, it was a gamechanger! My crops got larger immediately. 1st harvest was over a pound in my 5×5 tent.
My last harvest was 2.2 pounds, yet only draws 450 watts. 4 years later the light has seemingly lost nothing.
Yet everything ages and soon it will be time for me to lay that generous light down.
My question is would it be worth while upgrading? My gut is to stick with spiderfarmer because it's been successful for me and it seemes fairly priced, but will I notice a jump in quality or yield if I go with the SE 7000, or something Comparable?
I am open to other brand suggestions.
Or should I just go with what works and buy another one.
Thanks

You could definitely get more out of your 5x5 with a stronger light. 450w for a 5x5 is on the low end....30 to 40w/sq ft is the general rule of thumb. So up to 1000w on the high end without co2.
If your going to make the plunge look into adding uva and ir too :eyesmoke:

I have an sf 2000 I still use to veg. I moved on to bar style lights. They have more even dispersion, Don't trap heat and are lightweight for the wattage and easy to handle. And most have drivers you can keep outside the tent which helps with climate control.

Went from a sf4000 to a hlg 600r in my 5x5. I love the results. Now I want more HLG lights when money allows they will be mine lol
I was looking at the Blackbird, are you saying that you would go bigger than 600r for your 5×5? It is around 1000$ canadian, are you saying better quality and yield over the SF 4000?

Do you use LED? I think 1000 watt draw on an led would be too big for my 5×5 tent.
Keep in mind I have only been growing since 2018, I've learned lots about the plants but have put little focus into lighting.

Yes I have 2 Mars fc8000's with uv/ir add on bars in 4x4's and a Spider farmer se5000 with uv/ir in a 3x3 but I never run any of them past 75% which will extend their life....hopefully
Odds are you'll never need all 1000w but it's coverage will be much more even and complete than what you have now. 750w is probably all you'll ever use so you could get something close to that and run it at 100% or something larger and not have to push it as hard....either way it's physical size will be more suited for a 5x5

If money wasn't a factor "Yes" I would go bigger most likely I would have the diablo X like Curious. But I was just saying the end product/quality is better and I am happy with the results I get with the 600r in a 5x5. I still use my sf4000 its covering half of my 4x8 atm. Below are some comparable photos of clones run under the different lights. all are Red Hot OG from robinhood seeds.

These things look awesome...you have one?
Bought, but not shipped. I'm honestly debating the 8 bar vs the 10 bar, I might revise my order. The 10bar is actually less watts on the white band, but it's a larger frame to spread out the LEDs. With far red and UV on its plenty, but necessary vs the 8 bar ... idk

I'm a big fan of ir and uva..I added it around a year ago to one tent....now all 3 have it. I'm convinced it adds flavor and potency along with better yield.
I'm anxiously waiting to hear reports on how the "mint" white diodes perform. Let us know!
