Glad to hear you have won your battle!the floramite did the trick first time.. i have the pest strips down just for extra
I kind of fell into the same solution...great advice!!!somne plants dont like neam oil
some plants dont like pesticides.
I had a BUNCH of spider mites, and couldnt shake them... even with neam oil and azamax
i went to lowes and bought some specracide and some hotshot pest strips.
The hot shot pest strips look like an air freshner.
They do not stink, but they say they are not good to breath in for more than 4 hours.
If anyone still has a problem with spider mites... listen very closely, you will ask for my mailing address to send me large sums of money or gifts because you will love me after this, its so simple...
buy 3 hot shot pest strips. Put them in your room.
Use any other spray in half strength, so as not to even risk phasing or harming your plants.
Use the half strength stuff of your choice 3 times, 3 days appart from eachtoher, so 9 days total.
No need to dip plnats, just give them a good spray.
keep the pest stips in there forever.
And any spider mites that you can still see, rub them away, and youll notice they are already dead after starting this treatment, the live ones actually make your fingers redish when you smear them.
The dead ones... dont smear. They are hard, and stay a black speck.
ALL bugs are killed by these pest strips.
Ants, roaches, flies, spiders, EVERYTHING
They say on the package they are good for 4 months.
Id say after 2 months, just buy a couple more to be safe.
I swear... theres not an easier way, and it kills them ALL.
THere is no odor.
If you live in your room more than 4 hours, i guess use at your own risk.
This was in a 10x10x10 room.
Thanks
Thanks...so these pest strips...do they plug into an outlet like an air freshener? Or are they freestanding like other air freshers?...thxsomne plants dont like neam oil

Awesome! I've got a steamer...I've had the ladybugs on em...I'm going to steam tomorrow I think...I'll let you guys know...oh ya...nobody ever answered...if and when I beat these things....I'll see nothing at all on the leaves? Full color back or what? Spots on top and no bugs underneath?...thanks.Lot's of folks have been hit by the BORG of insects, Spidermites and feel your pain. Surrender IS NOT an option. Fight the lil beaties to the very end. Lots of good tips in this thread and my personal method has worked for me.
Spider mites SUCK! If you have them on one plant chances are they are on all of them. So very small and difficult to see unless you use a loupe or magnifier(at least for me anyways). I had one harvest *almost* get ruined by the critters and then I fought back with technology...and won! I did not want to use any chemicals on my ladies so close to harvest, and ended up using...STEAM!
Bought a Rowenta steamer from Bed Bath &Way Beyond and it worked like a charm! Best way is to do this somewhat *safely* is to water your plants, wait an hour and then hit the plants EVERYWHERE with the steam. You cannot concentrate the steam in any one area for too long or you'll cook the poor plant! The neat thing about this is the temperature. The mites simply crumble and die as soon as the hot steam hits them! Again you HAVE to be careful or you'll cause more harm than good, but if you pay attention to what your doing, you can do this! After you have hit all areas thoroughly, let your ladies rest for 1-2 days then hit em again. The live mites die easily but the eggs may still hatch (nasty things). If you cannot control the mites after 3 steam treatments, you should abandon ship and chop em down, sorry. Good luck and let us know how you faired in this time of crisis.
Personally, If I was going to use the NoPestStrip, I'd do it sooner rather than later. They say not to use those around food, so I'd be wary of using it too late in flower. I guess I'd either do the NPS now, or just put my faith in the beneficial bugs, and not do the NPS at all.So I figured I could use the ladybugs in my veg cab and captured most of them from the flower tent today...then added the pred mites...attack! lol I'm starting the 3rd week of flower...I plan to get a pest strip in 3 or 4 wks I think...
Thanks guys...this is my 1st grow so I dono what route I should take...I think I might put my faith in the beneficial bugs since it says they take about 4 weeks to finish up their work...plus I spent 30 bucks on them so I might as well...
Anybody grown with a pest strip throughout flower??? I don't wanna mess anything up...I was going to add 2 DIY 2 liter Co2 things...will that mess with the bugs at all???? Thanks for everything everybody.
