Spouse of a Medical Marijuana Patient at risk of losing job

More fun fact: every state has an administrative process that teachers must go through first and seek all "official Remedies" before a civil case can go forward.

All schools can legally fire teachers based on immorality alone.

that has no bearing on my statement. you were wrong in your advice regarding employment attorney. i was setting the record straight.

I wasn't giving anyone advice hun.
Do you think ALL employment lawyers work for contingency? Do you know most will still charge for litigation fees? DIDJA KNOW THAT?

The reason teachers don't fight? Not enough money, time, or proof.

Trial fees are an average of $25,000 in a civil case.

well there's your mistake right there..no one goes to trial..you settle out of court..

it's been my experience that one letter from employment attorney equals $10k.

i'm the darling of litigation.

Except, like I noted above, you need to have the patience to last a couple of years of doing the "Official remedies" first before your going to even get your shot at a settlement. Got time?

FWIW anyone calling themselves "the darling of litigation" to describe how they get a settlement must not understand that there is no litigation whatsoever if you got a settlement. Litigation only happens in a trial hun.

2g/day ground?..that's nothing..WTF? 3 small bowls a little high for a professional?

in stock..i go through a zip+ per week

Actually, that is a little high for a professional. Or should I say "where is the high?"
But as Buck noted, different strokes...and women.

so you're saying the "pros" don't smoke their product?

I'm talking about professionals as in white-collar, suit and tie...people who "work" (definition dependent) 8-10 hrs, then take their briefcases home to work some more. I'm not talking about home farmers and Hell's Angels, although the latter does have a white-collar element in it.
If you're not getting high at work, then you're packing a lot of green into your stream to dream...
And seriously, if you put 2g in "three small bowls", I'd be curious to see what you consider a big one. Perhaps a Hookah bowl sans coals? You can stuff 3/4 Oz in one of those.
Lemme see ya do it in one draw ...

Don't get me wrong. If you go through that much a day, and it allows you to be as functional as you need to be, then great! From my perspective and experience, it just seems like a large amount. Either that, or there is perhaps inefficiency in your method.

Tell me about your bowl...is it shaped like a cigar with a rose?

apparently we were thinking of two different things.

yes, you can make tons of money..sativa and sativa hybrids then indies for the evening.

I believe so. I'm questioning the ability and efficacy of consuming 2 g/day, for an average consumer. Not a medical user...
But really, my perspective is at fault here. I tend to associate (over the last few years anyway) with people who smoke very little, if at all. I forget there are people out there like Remo (UrbanGrower) who make 2g joints and smoke a dozen or more of those a day.
Disregard my previous query, I has the dumb.

Where I taught the union was so strong there was no way they would test anyone for cannabis.

Yeah, there was this thing at work about 15 years ago, in a big tech company.

It was a Federal contractor BS that we all were supposed to sign that said we would submit to a drug test, if asked.

I didn't sign it. I went to the HR guy and told him I don't sign stuff like that. He said he wasn't going to sign it and he didn't know anybody but the hourly types that even would.

He said, "Everyone knows if we started drug testing in this company, we would not have a company."

Yep, a simple call from my labor attorney was enough to almost have fired,a Director and an HR manager.

Results was they were make to realize you can't approve a grant of stock options, grant them to me, and then refuse to authorize their transfer colluding with HR.

This is self rule. We fight back.

considering i tore down my two greenhouses and had to forgo about $30,000 in lost income along with two months without a crop while burning through all my savings so we could move out to colorado, i'd say i've sacrificed plenty.

if she has to wash her hands before work, oh well. it comes with being a grower's wife. she gets all her weed for free (about $5000 worth a year) for the hassle.

we did a seafood bake tonight. red potatoes diced well, bicolor sweet corn cut into quarters, scallops, jumbo shrimp, and wild cod soaked in butter, olive oil, a little salt and pepper, and a dash of lemon juice at the end. throw the potatoes and olive oil in a glass bowl and then into the oven for 15-20 minutes or until they soften a little, then add the corn and seafood, throw it back in for another 12-15 minutes and voila.

i have not yet done the dishes. gotta run the dishwasher first. i think i'll do that now.

I have a very good friend whose wife is a nurse and he's a stay at home dad and he is GREAT at it and he loves it. There are men in this world that do better at home businesses (growing IS a business) and taking care of the home. I did it for a year in 1989 while running a home day care myself, though I found it wasn't my cup of tea. I much prefer an outside job but hey, I had to try it.
