15% Rabbit shit (5% ground up fine, 5% Medium and 5% whole shit pellets.)

This mix I added per cu ft
1/2c Neem Seed Meal (Plantonix)
1/2c Crustacean Meal (50/50 shrimp & crab from Down to Earth)
1c Kelp Meal (Down to Earth)

Each soil mix got 4c of Mineral Dust per cuft
2c Basalt Dust (Cascade Mountains)
1c Gypsum dust (from Lowes)
1c Oyster Shell Flour

Midway week 2 seedling phase on all 4
Transplanted the 2 Organic soil kushs into their 7gal fabric pots today.
Planning on topping them after 5th node
Working on her 3rd node now.

Humidity is 60-70%
Temps 77F Lights on 72F Lights off

I have noticed some spots and lightening of the starter leaves on the Hydro #1 Maxibloom
Its possible i got a few drops of water and the LEDs burned the leaves making spots.
Also the root took longer to reach the water than Hydro#2 with Complete Crop in it.
Hydro#2 has more roots. Hydro#1 only has a single root coming from net pot about 5 inches long
Hydro#1 has 2 roots about 10 inches long and is growing smaller roots from them.
Some slight browning in an inch area of the roots but thats is most likely caused by Myco+ as it has molasses
in it and turns the water light brown. Ill keep an eye on it.
Water temps are 73F which is above the 70F max for DWC. Thats why I'm using Hydroguard for beneficials.
I have UC Roots just in case I need to go sterile.

Day 13

Temps 75F
Humidity 65%

Hydro#1 is showing a second root from the net pot.

Hydro#2 still looks good. Roots are starting to pick up the color of the nute solution. She looks good.

Both soil grows show no transplant shock.
Fed them both 1c of Myco+ root innoculant solution. They are now starting to show their 4th leaf set. 1 to 2 weeks should be able to top.
We'll see how the girls respond to rabbit shit.
See if they pop real good.
So far the soil grows are ahead of the Hydro ones. But not by much. They may start to pop real soon

They both look healthy and ready to make strong roots. Also seeing nice purple stems. Hope she makes nice purple flowers. It's winter here in the mid Atlantic usa so I can drop the night Temps under 70F to get more color.

When the current grow in the tent is done hopefully around New Years then I'll clean it and move the purple kush into it.

Day 14
Hydro #1 with GH solution and Myco+ is showing a lot more root growth,
Getting many roots coming from the net pot in just 24 hrs. She has greened up a bit now.

Hydro #2 still nice and green and some more root hair growth. Dont see additional roots coming from net pot yet which is weird.
Took a 20ml syringe and used it to water nute solution from bucket down over the clay pebbles in the net pot to try to encourage more roots to go down.

Soil #1 Dr Earth Steady growth so far. Nice green color.
Soil #2 Coots Variant Mix. Steady growth and nice green color as well.

I topped the girls today. They were on their 6th node working on their 7th.
Just checked the a bit ago and the fan leaves are perked up a little and the undergrowth has spruced up a bit.
These pics were taken after topping them this morning.

Day 29
Transferred everything into the 4X4 grow tent with Mars Hydro TS3000 LED and 6" AC Infinity Exhaust w/ Carbon Filter.

The Complete Crop DWC Purple Kush seems to have developed nute burn. Cut one of the fan leaves off that was burnt bad. I have already changed the nute solution to a lesser ppm. PPMs were reading over 1000 and now they are 760. I don't know what happened but I made the solution at 800 and it crept up to 1000 somehow. Maybe the nutes weren't dissolved all the way when I first made it. Something for me to figure out.

If anyone knows what causes ppm to go up with no water loss a day or two after making new nute batch let me know please. I appreciate it.

Everything else looks good. I thoroughly watered the smart pots today. Soaked them good. I gave the feeding of Dr Earth Pot of Gold to the Dr Earth grow. The other one in Coots Mix is getting only pH'd water until I see signs I need to add an organic fert. I have some PK organic ferts for flower. I can make a rabbit manure tea for transition and early flower and have Incredible Bulk organic PK for mid to late flower and ripening.

Any drooping is because pics were taken 1 hr before lights out. Circadian rhythm. They got an extra 3 hrs light today because instead of LO at 5pm I changed it to 8pm to 2am. Anytime you see MB or CC on the white taped DWC buckets it stands for Maxibloom and Complete Crop so I know which nutes go in which one.

Temps 77F Lights On 70F Lights Off Humidity 50%
Using a humidifier but keeping it around 50% because I'm drying my last harvest still in the grow room.
After I jar them in a day or two, I will raise it up to 65 or 70%.
DWC ppms are 767 for Complete Crop and 760 for Maxibloom Lucas Formula

Pretty cool comparison grow you got going.
I've never done dwc, I'm a soil grower, to me your soil looks dry on top, with organic soil you want to keep it moist so the micro herd is happy.

Day 41. I had to yank the DWC grow using Element Nutrients line. Something was wrong either root rot or the nutes weren't good. Complete Crop is a new salt line. I found sludge inside bottom of bucket while doing 2 water changes. 2 other reviewers on Amazon noted same issue. Their Flower Fuel PK booster on other hand is supposed to be excellent and is highly reviewed. It's been out for long time.
I'm replacing it with an Alaskan Purple Auto. Going to put it in 5 or 7 gal smart pot. I'm going to veg 4 more weeks then flip when the Auto should begin stretching. All 3 Purple Kush are showing preflowers now. They are mature enough to flip but I want 4 more weeks of LST growth.

The GH Maxibloom is firing on all cylinders. No deficiencies so far and nice color and even growth. I accidentally broke one branch tying them down. I LSTd all of them. I released the DWC LST because the tomato cage needs it legs cut off and zip tied to the lid and sealed up. I'll do it after this grow for next time.

The Coots mix soil is fire. It is growing very nice uniform darker green color. Short internodes as well.
Grinding up 1/3 of the 15% of the rabbit shit into a fine powder and then grinding up another 1/3 into medium chunks and the last 1/3 were whole rabbit shit pellets. I used an electric veggie chopper to do it. Have to wear a mask the fine dust goes airborne easily. I added it to the soil in front of a air purifier so it sucked the rabbit shit dust into the HEPA filter. I believe the ground up rabbit shit is fueling this Coots grow along with 2X the amount of Kelp meal added to the mix. Going to hit her up with Banana Peel Tea in 4 weeks. Then Incredible Bulk after the 2 week transition.

The Dr Earth grow is starting to pick up. Leaves are darkening up finally and the middle is filling in. The plants were 13, 12 and 11 inches tall before I tied them down. 2 days after tied down they exploded in growth. Very strong plants.

ALASKAN PURPLE AUTO - Top 1/2 is Coots Mix Organic Soil. Bottom 1/2 is a custom Living Soil mix I made. Its a little hotter.

Day 43 - 1st LST recovered in 2 days. So I have LST them again. The canopy is more even now. Trying to keep this going for 3 to 4 weeks before flip. Let those 7gal pots fill in more roots. Not sure how many weeks of Veg fill up a 7 gal pot with roots.

I applied Diatomaceous Earth to the soil top and 3 new yellow sticky traps as there was signs of a small fungus gnat infestation when I watered the pots. I also have Neem Oil Spray to use as well. Theres so much rabbit shit in the soil hopefully the larvae wont eat the roots. I have noticed that a few leaves had holes in them. Looked weird under a loupe. It was like the leaf melted and made a hole. Not sure what causes that. I dont see any other bug. I checked the leaves and underneath. Only fungus gnats.

Hopefully the DE and traps kills enough adults to wipe out the next 2 generations.
Will be monitoring the gnat situation

Added 7ml Calmagic to the DWC grow. A few leaves in the middle have brown spots.

Temps have swung a bit. Last night the batteries for the thermostat died and it was 63F when I got up.

The Temps are ok now.
They range 78F Day to 68F Night.
Humidity is around 65%

Added my 2 Giixer LEDs, arranged them to angle inwards and down beside the main light. Im going to run the Bloom switch during flower for extra red yellow spectrum as an experiment.

Updated pics. Defoliated a bit they were getting wet. Temps and humidity are same.
Going to flip them next week

Everything is growing nicely. Temps are 76F Day and 66F Night. Humidity ranges from 60% to 75%. I'll start to lower that to between 50-60% next week when I flip them. Biggest bush is 22" right now. If they double in size they will probably be 3 to 4 feet tall. If only 50% increase than 2 to 3 ft tall.
They are growing around 1/2" to 1" per day.
The DWC Purple Kush drank 1 gallon of 1100ppm nute solution the last 24 hrs. Before that she was drinking 1/2 gallon a day.
She has put out a lot of new roots in the water and the roots look great. No slime lots of white or lightish pink roots. The GH Maxibloom salts are pinkish color

Maxicrop is underrated, cheap, simple, effective, your dwc is looking great, soil too.

The slight brown tinge up top is from the Myco+ I used for 4 weeks with the Maxibloom nutes. I stopped using it because it didn't seem to do anything other than discolor the roots.
As my first ever hydro attempt i didnt wabt to have to figure if it was root rot forming or nute discoloration.

She drank another gallon of 1150 ppm nutes the past 24 hrs. She's a hog. I'm probably going to have to up it to 1500 to 1800 for flower. Heck maybe 2000 the way she's feeding. Purple Kush supposed to be heavy feeders so we'll see.
