Stealth CFL basement grow

After a LOT of research, picking my friend's Brain, multiple forums, books and youtube videos later I built, tested and started my first grow. Due to the generosity of a friend I was gifted with two Blueberry clones, at the time I got them they were two months old and looking great, had been FIM'ed and were very healthy. Their home is a Rubbermaid outdoor storage shed customized for my purpose, in a secluded part of my basement.

The cab to the right was added later, my clone/initial veg box.

So currently were are on Day 51 of 12/12 and the girls look, smell and feel divine! The lights are under a hood that I made out of a vent pipe, the light holder from PVC pipe and 7 @ 26w CFL's. I have 6500K bulbs for vegging and 3500K (they could be 2700K, don't remember exactly) bulbs for flowering. The stealth part of the grow only works because of my OZN-1 Ozone Generator on a timer.

A few more weeks to go I guess? Opinions on that? When I put these into Flower I cloned both plants, here is the next "generation" Learning so much this first round.

Thanks KushXOJ! I probably over thought everything. But then everything has gone pretty smoothly, so no complaints. Forgot a few things on the first post, these are growing (2 ladies) in MG moisture control soil, perlite with a healthy dose of bonemeal added when they were transplanted into their grow bags, which are WalMart reusable grocery bags. I use Fox Farms Grow Big for Soil, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom somewhat according to their feeding schedule. I use nutes and CalMag at every watering and add White Widow Mycorrhizal powder with the water and also during transplants.

my basement box. your plants look tasty. interested in seeing how you yield.
Very nice box scroglodyte! I'm patiently waiting on seeing the yield also. I have read so many "how much will I get posts" that I can't even guess. Will be nice to have more of an idea when I get the new clones into the box for flowering for round two!

everything looks super super tight, only kink i can see is the 3500k. ive heard those emit very low amounts of usable light.

Color Temperature

You might see a lot of different labels when shopping at the store for CFL’s. Label’s including Soft White, Warm White, Cool White, Bright White, Halogen White, Daylight White, Full Spectrum. And also label’s like 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K, 6400K, and 6500K. These are all the color temperature of the light you are using. This is a measure of how warm or cool the light given off by a lamp appears, with warmer colors having a yellowish tinge and cooler colors being tinged with blue. What confuses some people is that the warmer a color is, the colder its color temperature is. (ex. Warm White = 2700K). Bulbs ranging in the 2700K-3000K spectrum are usually labeled Warm White or Soft White, bulbs ranging in the 3500K – 4000K spectrum are bright white or cool white, 5000K is labeled Full Spectrum, and finally 6400K – 6500K is labeled Daylight. You can grow an entire crop with CFL’s if you chose the right spectrum of bulb’s. For Vegetation you will want to use 6500K or 5000K, and when you flower you will want to switch to 2700K or 3000K . The reason being, throughout the year the plant’s outside receive more 6500K light because the day’s in summer are long and hot and as Autumn/Winter get’s closer the day get’s shorter, and gradually receives less 6500K light and more 2700K light as the plant flower’s. Do what you can to avoid bulbs within that 3500K – 4000K because they emit very little light that Is useful to your plant. Notice here the difference between the CT of these lamp’s

I just went and checked and they are 2700K bulbs. You had me worried there for a second that I had missed something so well documented. I got them at Home d'Pot, their generic 4 pack, 23 watts 2700K. Thanks for the input lagarrettBLUNT!!!

dont be fooled thou; yes 3000k emits small amounts of useable light, but it has the best PAR of any spectrum. and thats pretty important for plants..
