That's awsome frosty ima try it next grow For kicks n giggles , and as for the mg organic you could use it but I would mix that in with some perilite and maybe some top soil with consistent mixture , thus would give u a bit better drainage with the perilite and tone down all the mutes in the mg it's what I did but not use mg organic I used sow thing else but shhh no one knows lol, I went with 30% top soil 30% perilite and 40% mg organic and add more perilite if needed, Walmart even sells worm castings and vermiculite too , I would take a looke at it all and also get like the big 20 gal Rubbermaid to mix it in and store

I did add almost 25% Perlite to the mix, along with a few handfuls of bone meal. The big garbage pail to mix and store is brilliant, never thought of that one and will be perfect for my set-up. +REP

yes sir adding the perilite and bonemeal should knock down on the nutes, i have herd of people flushing their soil ( only soil with nutes, not your mixed stuff ) and letting it dry before doing their mix

26 grams....to me it looked like more. Them buds must not be that dense.
Hows the smoke???
The actual colas are dense and could have been more so. I also think I took it early, I think I could have gone another week, live and learn. I should have sacrificed many many stems with small buds to promote the growth of the colas, as I said I learned a lot from this. I expected more and there will be more this current run. And why I will do a scrog this current run so there are more tops, less crap. It still hasn't started curing, but the taste is much less green than I expected just one week from harvest. I should be able to get it back in the jar tonight, see where the humidity is in the morning.

Those walmart bags/canvas bags in general seem, potentially, like a very good idea.

Definitely gonna try it. +rep

I was thinking, won't the Walmart bags create mold or disease after water sitting for awhile

Yeah, seems like a potential issue to me, too. I'm gonna give it a shot though and see, i got some aldi's bags made of nylon type material, not sure what the walmart bags are made of, but anything cotton or, natural, seems like it may have a higher risk of mold (totally don't know if that's true, lol, trial and error maybe). I'm surprised I haven't heard of anyone trying it before.

Aldi is a Texas store if I'm right?
IDK if it's in Texas. I think it's German actually, lol. It's like save-a-lot. One of those places you gotta bring your own bags or pay for them, bag your own groceries, everything is store brand. It's pretty ghetto I guess.

If you hold the WalMart Bags up to a light you can see the fine mesh of the bags, which was my reason for using them in the first place, letting more air, but almost no light at all into the roots. If you water them heavily the water flows right out of the bottom. This was an issue on my first grow as I had the bags sitting on a wood unfinished shelf. The shelf did mold and mildew, so I switched it out for a wire shelf. Great air circulation now, onward and upward!

looking nice havent seen someone use grocery bags haha
I'm hoping for much better root development this run, translating into bigger thicker stickier buds. The Scrog setup this time should utilize my space so much better. Learned so much from first run, now onward and upward as I perfect what I have to work with.
