Sticky Grows

Yeah I use silica. I find it helps the plants tolerate wider ranges for air temp/RH than they may otherwise be able to.
It's great for me because although I do control these variables, I don't have complete 100% control. I can get to a good range and keep it happy but I have difficulty achieving *perfect* conditions at all times.
I'm trying to get there myself. I keep a pretty watchful eye on things and know very well how to adjust the environment as needed but, I need to get more automated. Sounds like silica will help.

Flower day 23

They're stacking up! It's looking like LHZ and PYC will battle for largest and longest colas. JH will be a little shorter. The tallest branches are 16" to 18" from scrog.

The room daily average is 79° and 54% RH.

Very nice man, you gotta be happy! Those pistils are at a very photogenic stage, gettin some length on those tops, gonna be some beautiful colas.

Glad to see you didn’t get the mouse microballs pheno of jh....

Thanks OG! This being my 2nd QB grow, I guess I'm still not quite sure what to expect during each progressing week. It's still impressive how much growth there can be in just a week.

I've been watching the JH pretty closely. She's doing better than rock hard mouse balls so far but cola length looks shorter than the other two. I guess with as much as she grew and so well during veg, I thought she'd lead the pack on everything.

Still a few more weeks till harvest, maybe it overcompensates filling in or by increasing girth.

I came home today and found that my Peyote Critical had a bunch of leaners... Its only flower day 30 I think and she already can't support the nugs hanging off her. :pimp:

I got out the bamboo sticks, stuck 7 in at various places and made a quick 2nd layer string scrog web.

I had one plant last grow I had to do this to, my Dosidos. She was spindly too but, I didnt have to do this until around the end of week 6... Ruh roh Raggy.

JH and LHZ are still able to contend with the weight. No leaners.

Right now the room temp is 80°, leaf temp average is 80° and room RH is 66%. That puts VPD at 1.14 which is just inside the zone for mid to late flower.

I haven't had to run my humidifier for over a week now. The plants appear to be creating and maintaining the environment through transpiration as they drink the bags dry and need more every other day.

I've never tried to maintain optimal VPD and it's a little counterintuitive to keep RH so high during flower. I'm keeping a close eye on them and so far, I think I've got enough airflow to stop guttation. Though the plants are definitely transpiring, the leaves aren't sweating.

I'll be taking some leaves over the coming weekend for the last time. I'm sure that will slow down this humidity train a little.

Fun puzzle, dude!

What can i say, but beautiful, man?

What would you estimate the number of tops per plant is? 30-40? And estimated average length from bottom foliage/bud to tip?
The updates never come through for me. I just go with the link for watched threads now.

Thanks man. They're coming along well! Kind of intimidating tbh. I haven't needed to run my humidifier for over 2 weeks now and these girls are creating huge humidity through transpiration. I'm getting what is supposedly great VPD at 80° and averaging 64% RH. Kind of scary though for it to be as high as it has gotten. It's been 69% a few times. I have a dehumidifier that should arrive Tuesday and I'm gonna set it to allow no more than 60% I think.

It's about 12 to 18" from bottom to bud tip depending on the plant. LHZ is the true beast though.

Thanks...

How many tops per plant?
