Still no independent review of the GeekBeast Pro???

You're comparing two lights with similar efficacies and form factors here, not bar lights and cheap blurple LEDs. Yes the Geekbeast light has a higher wattage draw than the 465 watt Photontek light. According to Migro's testing, it also has a significantly higher usable photon output. You just need to figure out which light will work better for your situation.

It's also worth mentioning that the Geekbeast has UVA and far red monos. I don't think Photontek has released their UV bars yet.
SunPlix Did this, with the x2 UVA & or IR bars. Nice light, super HE, Useless Pontoons IMO. X8 Bars needs x7-x9 supplemental insert strips. All wavelengths need to blend at the prices we're paying for led pre-made, IMO. Not some "winging it" approach like our girls don't matter. Slap x2 bars in the there n call it a day. Maybe better then nothing, maybe not.
With only customer demand driving the tech advancements, its gonna take awhile to achieve what some of us want NOW Gosh-Dammit!. Lol!

Was just looking at these on aliexpress, noticed there’s the option for 3k vs 3.5k diodes.

What’s the general opinion on this? Specifically for a flower only, not veg focussed area.

Yes, they are on Alibaba. You can also get the 3k version from GeekBeastUSA. However, it's about $100 more.
I've been going back and forth on these lights. My main concern is that they may be a bit substandard from a quality standpoint. That being said, I think I'm going to buy the HLG600 V2 Rspec for $721 directly from HLG. The wattage and efficiency are comparable. However, the HLG doesn't have UV or IR. What they do have is a lot of favorable history for both quality and effectiveness. I'm going to go with the more of the sure thing. Maybe at some point when the Beast has established itself, I will buy one. For now though it's just too new and long-term unproven. I'm not knocking anyone that owns one. The light, on paper, looks great. It's just not a risk that I'm willing to take.

Are You not willing to consider a bar light having a true full spectrum or another formed fixture or is your heart set on a board? Small space?

Sure, I'm open minded. What are you suggesting? Thanks
Well, I'm rocking this Amare Bar-6 that is available in a 3 bar as is the Bar-8 & available in a x4 bar. Both include the fullest available spectrum within the next 30 days. That will be their gen x2. Rn the spectrums are as follows but are being filled in for the Gen 2's with my Special Edition Hybridway That will most likely stay production. The Bar-6 spectrum is not included below but is the SS-C + UVA.CannaSpec, SolarSPec-C, SolarSpec-HE.PNG.pngWith or w/o my touch it still contains 390, 470, 630,660,730 n/ir plus x2, whites in 301h. The Gen2 diodes are more efficient then the current 301h. It will include a more comprehensive spectrum spread out dead evenly on remote or mountable drivers with full control over dimming, ir/flash (lights out) & a timer for your UVA. Also fully versatile & has protection over the diodes, American owned but manufactured in China. So that means American product service & warranty, 5 yrs too. 3 yrs on UV models.
This company provides the highest quality builds I've heald to date & im still using lights i bought from them 6 yrs ago or more with very lil, unnoticeable depreciation.
These are some of mine. 20201022_200029.jpg20201024_230644.jpg20201024_231530.jpg20201024_231857.jpg20201024_232054.jpg
They are not Cheap, just like any other good led, but they are heavily discounted when bought direct. Up to 25% off on Pre-Orders & veterans.

P.S. I can configure my space to accommodate just about any light. The form factor preferences are light bar first. However, cost is definitely a factor. Also, I'm more interested in established proven brands. Most of the Chinese products don't tempt me due to quality/performance concerns. Mars Hydro has been around for awhile and people seem to do okay with them. However, I wouldn't put them high on my list. Finally, kit lights, while appealing are a concern due to potential insurance issues if not UL or similar agency approved. An insurance company would only be too happy to deny a claim due to a light that was not rated.

I'll def check them out. The remote mounting of the driver is big issue for me. So that and the spectrums already make them look favorable. Thanks for taking the time to educate me a bit!

These lights are all UL Certified & then some, Ip-67 rated can really get wet. Don't be spooked because they are manufactured in China. The owner customized these lights to be one of a kind. Not to be copied & re-sold as knock-offs to fool the public. 8 yrs in buss., the first to offer enhanced Cree Cobs & not one replica, just sad copy cats. First to post part #'s used as well. The owner pays the extra money to be set apart from typical China Manufacturers & its all his design & engeniering. Not a Cookie Cutter.
All Pro-Models have been upgraded to Vero29 Cobs & Olson monos (few yrs ago) & incude a dimmer now. So they are also very viable options.
Bar-8 does every versatile trick in the book from sliding bars, fully detachable to pivoting/angling.
Thickest Bars & thermal mngmt on the mkt too.

These lights really do look impressive and I'm interested. However, I'm not finding the Bar 6 online and can't find Amare's direct website. I've found the V8 and resellers. If it's not too much trouble, would you mind providing a link/links in order for me to further explore their products and get manufacturer direct pricing? Thank you

Sure, PM me for the direct connect.
Here's the info I have:Screenshot_20201025-124851_Gmail.jpgScreenshot_20201025-125106_Gmail.jpgScreenshot_20201025-125143_Gmail.jpg
This is the Model your seeing probably sold-out at most vendors. The Gen2 (coming out in about a month) will include a few new special treats including UVA on a seperate channel that has an outlet for a timer & chips higher in efficiency then 301h. A few other neat tricks to the spectrum as well.
I currently run the Canna-Spec over 7'x5'8" to utilize the 900w.
The Bar-6 has UVA already but its not listed there.

I’m having issues getting the gateway to connect to my wifi. Any of you guys have issues? I have 2 gateways and they both do the same thing. I’ve gone as far as turning off the 5ghz band of my router completely to rule that out. I have no problems connecting to the lights and controlling them through Bluetooth though. Thanks

Clean and well thought out. Why not leave the drivers on the fixture if u weren’t relocating outside grow area, less hole in ceiling or hardware to hang.
When I bought them there was one option for extended cords, which I hoped were the power cords but I was wrong. So they went on the ceiling cuz they’re so damn long they were flopping all over the fixtures

Those delta 10’s going on slabs when u flip? I’m assuming this is your first grow under these lights as well? Mind if we share comparable notes on what methods works with these lights? I’m a few days from my 21 days flower review with them, so I’ll post some thoughts on them

I’m actually running them as is this round. They got flipped last Sunday. I’d normally run 32 per table but didn’t have enough. I’ve never been much of a vegger, last run under hps they were put on top of Hugo’s and didn’t use much of the lower cubes. This round I have hugos cut in half I was gonna put them on but decided not to. Just trying things a few different ways. It was also just so much damn rockwool to dispose of after the last run. This is my first time using these lights as well. I’ve grown in 5 gal buckets with soil for the last decade but my backs not what it used to be so lugging soil around was getting old. I’d like to start them in 6” cubes but that turns into its own issue of space and getting them hardened outta the dome. 4” are ideal cuz I can fit 8 in a tray with a dome on still. So it’ll evolve I’m sure over the next few rounds.

In that pic I’m 2.5’ over the plants with the lights at 75% getting 500 umoles at the plants. I’ll turn them up a little each week, looking to end with them around 900-950 umoles. I have a photontek 600 that’s new as well in my veg/mom/clone room and learned quickly that these lights are crazy powerful compared to 3+ years ago. I had cal/mag issues pretty quick and they weren’t too happy with me. I’m vegging a 7x7 area from 6’ getting 350 umoles on moms that are about 18” tall and about 200 umoles on solo cups that are sitting on the floor.
