Storage room Grow OP

Hey guys just set this up a few days ago. this will be my 3rd grow but the other was 2 males so i never got to smoke first was an outdoor fail. what was i thinking it always snows here.

so basically this came to about 100 dollars total. its a simple home made drip system with two 4 foot shop lights. drippers are on 4 times a day and the light cycle is 20/4. top shelf are sproutlings and clones.

also in the space behind the table im planning on putting in the 3x3 table and another drip setup for flowering. and sectioning the two off by some black tarp. ive seen i can put five decent sized plants in it.i also have a 430 watt hps for flowering.any questions feel free to ask as i will be asking many fromw you im sure.

the two lil babies on the right are bubblegum from nirvana. the one on the left is a feminized wonder woman.
seeds germing in the dome are 3 black jacks and 3 random seeds i got for free.

hopefully with RIU this will be my first successful grow

Wat lights r u running?

right now just 2 cool white and 2 warm white 4ft bulbs. ill be using the 400 watter for flowering tho.
anyone know if its ok to leave a air stone on inside the resavoir? any benifits are harm?

just a few pictures of the bubblegum i grew last attempt. 2/3 males but the system i set worked well. ill post pics every week or so.
the picture on the right was 2 days into flowering. and this was at my old place. but same system

im having a little trouble with my drippers...
they started out great but it seems they get clogged or somthing because two of them are dripping alot less than the other one is.

hey i had another question.
im in the basement and with the wet cubes they feel pretty cold.
is this going to hinder growing at all?

What kind of pump are you using?

its a 108 GPH pump.
it was about 22 bucks

i got pics coming this weekend i now have 4 different strains six plants total.
all are looking healthy

hey guys another update here.

its been abut 2 weeks and ive hit a few snags with my 100$ system but ive found some solutions so let me know what you think.

my drippers were getting clogged real easy. i think its becasue im using GH flora grow and i can see specs of nutes everywhere. so i had to take off the drippers and now as you can see in the pic its just a quick watering 3 times a day. the flow comes on for 1 min 3 times a day. i figure its about the same as 15min of dripping. but let me know what you think

i was wondering is this to much water?
the cubes stay mildly wet all day and the lights are on 24/7 with a small fan blowing over them.

other than that ive got some good growth going. i started the lights too far at first so i got a stretch but i dont think it will harm.

so in total now ive got 6 plants 2 FEM black jack. 1 FEM wonderwoman, 1 random, and 2 bubblegum.

The temps in the res need to stay around 70F as far as I know. About the temps in the medium, dont know. Im sure you could find a post on RUI about medium temps. But around 70F for the res, for sure.

good work on the system and the time your taking to dial it in on the first run. Did you say that you never gotta harvest off your first run? The plants looked good though.

I gotta big bushy lollopped wonderwoman that I just put into 12/12. Shes been my experimental lady since thanksgiving 2009.

hey thanks sota. i think their doin ok now temp wise. i mean the basement is naturally chilly and its snowing here. the water feels slightly cold but im not sure wht i can do about this yet and i dont see any harm being done to the plants. maybe ill put a heating mat under it.
ya those 3 big plants in the picture were 2 out of 3 males.
so in attempt to get more females i tried cloning and i didnt do it correctly at the time so i didnt get a harvest.

ya i hope the black jack turn out good. im def comin to check out your wonderwoman.

would just a standard plug in heater harm anything?

On a 15min on and 30 off timer. It only runs when the flower cab is off. Seems to keep it around 65-68F. I also set up the 4"inline scrubber fan to cycle every15 min, and the intake and internal fan set to off at night.

I was thinking about a propagation heat mat under my clone bubbler hooked up with a aquarium res thermostat set to 70F. Thats the ticket.

make sure it doesnt give off light.

ya i might try a heating mat under the rez.
it would help if it wasnt snowing all the time

that would be a waste. top your res off with warm water before u water.
Cold is sometimes an issue if your a canadian or northern grower. Big temp flucuations is bad for growth.
Go get one of those heaters that pushes hot air. Perfect for your setup. they run 1500watts on high. 500/1000 on low
When your lights turn off have it heating the room. Invest in a digital timer and have it running spilt shifts. I have mine on 40 minutes on and 20 minutes off. Over the night you save 4+ kilowatts. If you have a well insulated area it will be easyer to heat.

yea. Watch out for those climate controllers they give off light to. Go into your room when its dark to check for light leaks and stuff. Put duck tape where needed.
You need heater that pushes air. the ones that light up suck anyway. Do you have poly or mylar? seal that room so you can control things more.
Example. I seel my room and have two outtakes. One is running 24/7 on a low rpm. 10 inch with carbon filter. The other 8inch and carbon filter is hook up to a thermostat. So when it gets to hott the 2nd fan kicks on untill temps drop. I run a passive intake because the 24/7 fan pulls air through the intake duct. That way no smelly air when get off.
If your outtake shuts off and you an intake running... Its going to find its way out of the room because of pressure. Aka cracks in windows/walls.The air will find its way out.
The only air coming out of my room is through my outtakes. On the other end of my outtake, inside the ducting, I scooped a hand full of ona and smeard it on the inside of the ducting. As far as i can reach and smeard it inside the creases.

nice setup cybersecks, I have a setup similar to yours. I am interested in how your grow goes, as I am in about the same stages with mine. although, everyone on here told me that I shouldn't give any nutes until week 4. At what age did you start your seedlings on nutes? I think that the water being on continuous for a minute, like you have it, might be a bit much. but it all depends on how quickly the rockwool drains. I bought a $30 warm air humidifier to keep my temp/humidity up, because without it, i couldn't get more than 25% humidity, or above 70 degrees. good luck!
