Maybe because the money side of it is so easy ?
Buy some packs, make seeds, steal/make pics of the seeds you wanna sell, poof you have a business.
All that's left is a cookie based marketing scheme, some fancy words, and explosive names.
By the time people start noticing something is wrong, you already shift the blame on the grower, make new lines, swear they are better, steal some more pics, and away we go
Only today I realize how elite clones are so rare, that breeders/dealers that claim to have them, I'd put my trust in 5% of them maybe.
When we popped seeds 15-20 years ago we got consistent fire, means either the guy had the clone (when the genetics are on your side humans can't really fuck it up too bad) or someone did his job right, I'll let you decide.
So in today's market, it's still the same, either they don't have the clone, or they don't do the work.
And why one would ? When all the knowledge on forums and people points everyone to "hunt" and purchasing better lights or improving growing skills, genetics is being left aside to abuse.
We forgot that's the most important thing !
People fell for the hype, and if someone dare say something about the money industry behind it all you get is, well you need to hunt more or your grow wasn't dialed in.. huh ?
Is this world moving forward or backwards sometimes it's blurry to me.
Why when we were young and stupid we didn't hunt and didn't dial in nothing but got fire ?
Hear the 95% of people go quiet when you ask this question, the 5% that's left is where you should put your money.
When you research about breeders you will start to notice who is just pollen chucking (which is a good thing if he has the elite clones he claims) or working lines to some sort of (effect, looks etc) or just using names with plants that don't even resemble the elite they are supposed to be, well maybe in pics on ig they do lol
Drug type plants today are hard to find indeed, most breed for name and looks, and if you find it weak and not good the only thing have to say to you is you grew it wrong ))
