Strawberry Dream grow

I had to do the same thing about the same time last grow. I also use a ton of perlite, but after about 8-9 weeks it just starts getting compacted, lots of roots wriggling about down there. Any stress it has caused (and I have not noticed any really) seems to be offset by the benefit of the extra water and air.
 
Ok I appreciate the tips guys, I will try it because I'm definitely struggling with this in my new large pot despite using perlite and vermiculite.

Okay you convinced me I'm going to try it tonight wait I just watered her last night should i wait till next watering so i could add some super thrive and maybe a little liquid karma??

do you think i could do that (eta: the root aeration) with the BD? there's no perlite in it, just coco... or is it too late/unadvisable since it's almost done?

i should have watered our two GIANT LSDs last night, they were hella droopy and sad this morning. but they're sitting in the kitchen sink after their water/feeding and looking fluffy and happy as hell already. also, the one i topped is definitely only like... three inches shorter than the one i didn't top :| LOL
 
Its crazy, you chop the top off and they scream up looking for me, gotta love it. I would think it wouldn't hurt on the BD, but aren't you in the last week or so? I would feel the soil and see if it seems super compacted, if so you could aerate a bit, not much of a benefit unless you are compacted, and you do have a short time left.

Thanks for following along and appreciate the compliment, though I think we are about the same, this strain just seems to have some pretty frosty sugar leaves showing up early.

I was blasted last night, was supposed to be feeding time but I only did plain water, no pH, no molasses, no nutrients :) Drinking a lot right now, so I am sure she will be dry again tomorrow night.

lol basically same here... we went to a concert at night and were at a lake/stream all day with the dogs so i was too half-drunk, high and tired to be bothered. i fell asleep on the couch while my boo was grilling burgers too... unheard of for me hahaha.

i think i am gonna start diluting the BD's nutes today. and molasses starts next feed/watering, mostly bc i forgot to buy it when i went grocery shopping the other day. whoops!

eta it doesn't actually feel that compacted, now that i check. just gonna leave well enough alone for now, don't wanna fuck up our very first crop!
 
Plants are lookin good man...nice resin production....ur right in stride w me....im excited to watch urs finish
 
Gave a dry top dressing with 2tbsp of Happy Frog 5.8.4, 1 tbsp of Dolomite, 2 tbsp EWC and about a cup of FFOF since some of the roots are actually coming out of the top of the soil. The soil is still moist from the last watering and lights just went off.

Your buds are filling in so fast, I'm not sure how you do it.. It's only been a few days since your last photos. Whatever you are feeding them I want to buy some. The left most cola is a beast, don't let that thing get out at night, it might attack and eat you.
