Ya cant really flush super soil without drownding the plant
If I mess up to bad I will just kill a plant and start over using a different ratio looks like to be transplant was just a bit to early most strains will grow into it we call it hot feet hehe

Sub
Ok cool, so they should be a little more tolerant of the hot soil if I allow them to get bigger before transplanting huh?

Will do. That may require an "inbetween" repotting then to like a 2gal or something bc they seemed close to rootbound when i did transplant

hot feet, lmao. My girls definitely have hot feet. Burned feet in fact.

Does Anyone Know the pH and ec levels for the super soil mix? Also what organic ingrediants could I add to raise and Lower both?
the runoff is 6.3

you dont need to worry about raising or lowering the ph if you just follow his instructions bro, thats half the beauty of it!

Subcool, or anyone who might have some insight, i could use alittle help. I had planned to use this supersoil mix, but feel i dont have enought time to let it cook, and with summer at its end id only be able to cook it under my 400w mh and 125w floro next to my veggin ladies.

My seeds will arrive in next 2weeks when my buddy arrives and im getting fem'd NL x BigBud, and once thats over im moving to Cali or Oregon where i'll put the supersoil to work.

So heres my issue since i feel i don't have enough time or right moment to test this soil out. What would be a recommendation in soil and nutes? I have 400w mh and 125w floro for veg, and 1000w hps for flower with probly the sexy magnum xxxl hood for real wide coverage and blower to cool it so i can get very close. finish out in 5gall buckets. My local store has amazing selections. Has Roots soil and nutes, all Foxfarms products, Adanced nutes, Humbolt, botanicare, and alot lot more.

I hear FFOF with LW is better and produces better yeild than Roots, but if i was to use roots nutrients like buddha organic line it probly would work best with the soil its made for? I have heard nothin but great things about botanicares pro line so i was thinkin thatd be my nutes unless someone says go with roots

Room will be however wide and long i wanna make it..There will be a local med grower growin 5 ladies next to mine with a 400w. Its about 7.5' tall, and i wanna get best yeild i can. Will either top or use a screen. My last grow i mixed EJ soil with FFOF and it seemd to stay alittle to wet and the waterings were far apart, so im thinkin whatever i use i'll add 15-20% perlite. and should i add anything to my soil like castings or just let my nutes add what the plant needs. Im no genious on knowing what these ladies need, i just cut bottle doses by 1/2 and feed every other watering and using ph pen to check ph with ph up and down

Hey Sub,

I mixed up your super soil and let it cook, but I have a couple questions:

1) I mixed it using your first recipe of 6 bags of Roots and left out the rock phosphate and humic acid. I transplanted from 6" pot to 7gal with super soil mix on 11/8 and I am seeing what appears to be a P deficiency. Could the mix be too hot with the amount of Roots and the fact that there is no rock phosphate? What amount of rock phosphate should I add per 7gal or 10gal pot for future grows? Should I add some P to the soil or foliar feed the plants that appear to be def?

2) During last watering with ro water at 7.0 pH 20ppm, I get a runoff of 5.9 pH with a ppm of between 1220-2900 (varied with each pot). If I didnt add enough water when mixing soil (before cooking), did I not get the lime to breakdown enough? I didn't see the amount of water to add during mixing.

I'm getting extremely frustrated with soil grows and am tempted to switch to ebb & flow, although I love the taste and smoke of organic soil.

Thanks in advance bro. You are an incredible asset to the cannabis culture.

Funny Story for you Sub:

The Police raided our medi grow in AK. They took all the plants and we lost a wicked Dannyboy mom for good. Two years later after our case was dropped we filed a suit in order to have our property returned. One of the things given back was a crude looking oil extractor that was labeled as a pipe bomb in the evidence room "why would they give a bomb back? LOL" that had been used as a stash can for seed packs only that day of the raid. When we opened it up, they were all there!

I have your seeds back that were bought in 2007! Nice to be back, running 3D, Vortex, Jilly, & JC2.
P.S. Your clones made it back to AK in my shirt pocket on the air plane!!! WOW huh? I just removed all medium and wrapped them up with wet paper towel.HEHE

DANK is GREAT BTW. Hats off to the photo guy too!

If you made the soil as listed its fine we didnt even check run off or ppm for 12 years using it that was just recently because so many people asked what it was made of
rock phoshate has NOTHING to do with this mix I used it once cause I had some I see no diff with or without
how longs your soil be sitting?

Hey Subcool I'm sorry if this is off topic or someone has already asked you this but which of your strains is best outdoors for canada's where the summers are shorter?

Thanx

I like how people make comment that they followed the recipe yet they left out some things. This would be called not following the recipe and then getting frustrated.

In regards to the potassium concerns, the Roots soil has greensand, and this mix is just basically kicked up Roots. Most of the stuff you add is already in there. It has bat guano, earth worm castings, fish bone meal, feather meal (similar to blood meal, high N organic), glacial rock dust (similar to the azomite, mineral compound), humic acid. The N and P are being raised by additives but the K does not need to because you are letting the greensand sit and release for 2 months constantly increasing the supply.

I noticed you have made changes to this recipe, but never made mention of the effects that you noticed from the changes. What difference do you see using the revised mix on page 25 as opposed to the original one on page 1? I noticed it has been diluted 33% did you find it too strong? Just curious. Thanks

Yes, so true. I can see why Subcool gets a little bent when people propose an a question like this.
