DAY 32 of 12/12

No pics, need to get some batteries for the camera. So I actually had to take off last week on tuesday morning and was gone until sunday night. So i haven't been able to update.

I was really worried about my lady while I was gone, I gave it a good watering Monday night, but it was all by itself until sunday night. I expected burnt and drooping leaves, but she held out just fine, but definetly needed a good drink.

I did notice that some the older fans leaves were yellowing and falling off, which I think is an N def usually seen later in flowering. I figured it was because I was going too light on the nutes so I gave her a good watering with a bit more than 50% dosage. She has responded well with no burning like earlier. I will probably move up to full on the next watering.

The buds are really starting to develop now, I think she is going to end up with a nice little yield, smells a nice spicy lemon aroma, very frosty. Hopefully some pics tomorrow night.

Nice dude! haha, is that a cucumber? Your lady is looking good, how tall is she now? Are you keeping it outdoors all of the time?

This is my first year trying out vegetables, Here are a few pics of my cherry tomato plants, just starting to bloom! (it'd be nice if I could just set my cannabis on the deck like these):

And here are my apple tree(s). Although my lady survived me being gone for 6 days, one of trees was not so lucky and got fried. Also my cat must have knocked one over before I left (took cat with me), so I have it trying to get upright again. I was pissed at my cat, but then realized if she hadn't knocked it over it would have fried like the other one.

Thanks man, I've never grown any veggies before so I am pumped to see what comes from it.

Thanks dragon. 2'8" is pretty good, it'll be pretty big when it goes through its growth spurt in flowering.

DAY 36 OF 12/12

So I decided I'd had enough of the rubbermaid setup and went for a dual chamber cabinet. I had nothing to do all saturday, so this is what I built:

It's so nice to be able to just open up the doors to look at my lady, rather than breakdown the whole rubbermaid. It did me well, but it was time to move on.

I will be setting up the little veg area maybe tomorrow:

Thanks green

I was thinking about that, I thought I would have had more height in the flowering area, I was surprised when I put my lady in there. The reason I did this was to try to get a perpetual grow going with clones. I've never tried clones yet (just bout some root stimulator stuff), so might keep it for a while just to see how it works.

the next strain I want to try is going to be a sativa, so when i go for that I will be needing the extra height and probably drop the veg area.

I don't know bro those sativas are very very hard to keep under control in limited space. I'd stick to the hybrids that lean more towards indy's. I know it sucks but I had to learn the hard way, sativas want to grow and thats it just grow. One could quickly outgrow that box.

Thanks green, I guess you are probably right, I was just interested in trying out a pure sativa for the high, I don't know if I've smoked one before.

DAY 41 of 12/12

No pics right now, may be able to get some later tonight. Just a quick update, the lady is doing really good, man she is frosty. I think the new cab is suiting her just fine. I notice that watering times are now at about 3 days, she's really sucking it up.

I am giving about 100% f the recommended dosage for the last two waterings and she is responding well, no more burning. I want to really let her ripen this time....I think I chopped a week early last grow.

In cabinet news I have been working on light proofing...it has proven to be a a bitch. I didn't think it would be so hard to get all the cracks. I am trying weather stripping and caulking. It is waaaay better now but still not perfect. It's not a problem in terms of letting light in as the cab is in a room in the basement in complete darkness, its more if someone goes into the room when the lights are on and wonders why there is light coming out. I put some aluminum vents on both of the fan...probably not the best choice in the world as light reflects down the duct work. I just picked up some black paint which I hope will eliminate the problem.

I have everything I need for the veg area but have been focusing on getting the flowering area light proof. Oh yeah, I also added some wheels to the bottom to make moving it around easier.

Hopefully have some pics later :peace:

DAY 45 OF 12/12

Alrighty, finally had some time to work on my cabinet and gets some pics. Veg area is now setup with 2x 23W 6500k 1X23W 4200?K and 1X 15W 2700k, 84w Total. Just need to add my vent to the fan and she's good to go. My wheels base is now attached to the cab so thats makes moving it around a lot easier. I have started to germ the last 4 SB seeds and will try taking clones from them to get a perpetual grow going.

My lady is doing good I think. I just watered her with a bit of molasses and honey (bad idea??) and about 75% of the recommended dose of nutes. How much time do you guys think I have left to let her ripen? I figure 2 weeks, so I'll water once more with nutes and molasses and then start flushing.

Here's my lady:

And finally a comparision to DAY 36

Damn looking real good over there real good. Question though, have you checked to see if the veg compartment is light tight? Don't want light leaks during your off hours in flowering.

Thanks green, I love how this lady turned out, LST is awesome. I still have to add the vent to the back the fan and the veg area should be good to go.

QUESTION:

How close would guys say I was to harvest just looking at the last pics?

I haven't checked trichs yet but did tonight when the lights came on (DAY 46 of 12/12), and to my surpirse I was seeing about 3 out of every ten had an amber head.....

Does this seem too soon?

I am in no rush to harvest, I still have plenty of green left from my last grow, I just don't want to let it go too far.

I freaked out cause I planned on having two weeks to flush, so I gave it like 8 liters of clear water (I watered yesterday too with nutes/molasses/honey).
