Very, Very nice my friend! Beautiful plants. My grow is in closets that are in a room that gets direct sun through the window. Everyday I open the shades for about an hour and a half because the sun beats directly through the window into the closet. Can't see how they wouldn't appreciate all that side lighting and perfect spectrum.
250 watts of screw in LED. Four weeks today.View attachment 4104545 View attachment 4104546 View attachment 4104547
As always, Great info. Thanks for the response. Im not flowering yet, just vegging and trying to please my lady. This time of year with spring about to hit
sun wins everytime
only dis.. is you can get swinging temps that can hurt
also you become a target for a rippers
you decide
good luck
Of course not.Yeah its been tested at 700 pars. Is that brighter then the sun?? How many pars are your led lights and is it more then the sun?
Not assuming the worst. Let alone I never said it was bad. You wanted to know about window growing, I found a thread posted the same time as yours and linked it.I'm not trying to go through the whole grow using the window sil... I just wanted to give it some of this bright ass sun that's blazing in through my patio door right now. I don't see how that can be that bad.
This is the specs on 1 of my lights. The other 2 I have are DIY. Never checked the light output of my DIY lights cuz I don't really care to know really. But no they don't come close as the sunYeah its been tested at 700 pars. Is that brighter then the sun?? How many pars are your led lights and is it more then the sun?
Man I bet those babies are nice. I wish I knew more about building lights. I can frame a house and install phones/satellites but i don't know shit when it comes to these new lights. I've seen some pretty awesome dyi setups on youtube and it makes me so jealous with envy. This is the specs on 1 of my lights.View attachment 4104598 The other 2 I have are DIY. It isn't that difficult, bro. Especially if you use Quantum Boards - strips may be the new king of the hardcore DIY scene (understandably so), but you can't beat QBs for affordable, easy entry into LED. Worth every penny!Man I bet those babies are nice. I wish I knew more about building lights. I can frame a house and install phones/satellites but i don't know shit when it comes to these new lights. I could probably build the lights.. its the specs and watts and volts and different size drivers I don't know anything about. I wish i did.It isn't that difficult, bro. Start with a QB kit and you don't have to know anything but "plug this wire into that hole". Then the bug bites you and you're up to your ears in research...I could probably build the lights.. its the specs and watts and volts and different size drivers I don't know anything about. I wish i did.
Best light I've seen so far
You gotta link for a Qb kit?Start with a QB kit and you don't have to know anything but "plug this wire into that hole". Then the bug bites you and you're up to your ears in research...
I built an easy flower light and a veg light for my perpetual grow. Just gotta take it one step at a time. Apply a little bit of math make sure the triangle piece fits the triangle hole and your good to goMan I bet those babies are nice. I wish I knew more about building lights. I can see myself experimenting with this at some point.I built an easy flower light and a veg light for my perpetual grow. Just gotta take it one step at a time. Apply a little bit of math make sure the triangle piece fits the triangle hole and your good to go
Check out www.horticulturallightinggroup.com for the different kits and boards available. If you don't mind a little extra work (it really isn't much more difficult), I can do you one better than a kit and suggest a from-scratch build using QB132s - the 132 is a 75 watt QB that doesn't need a heatsink, so it's super economical (heatsinks can get pricey). I've done two builds with QB120s (the 132's predecessor) - four boards per light for 250w per (see the fixture in my avatar pic). Cost me less than $1/watt. It wouldn't be a big deal to list out the parts you need for any size build, any size space. There are also some great step-by-step tutorials on YouTube, done by @ledgardener, that walk you through the build no sweat. You gotta link for a Qb kit?
Thats just darn right Badass shit right there. Nice set up!My flower light is based off this design more or less from these 2 comedians. View attachment 4104619 And my veg light resembles a sunboard 240View attachment 4104618 nothing super special lol
I can imagine. Its crazy how big the industry is getting. can you imagine the lights that will be available 10 years from now.Check out www.horticulturallightinggroup.com for the different kits and boards available. I expect my next build will probably be Samsung F Series Gen 3 strips, but I'll always recommend QBs to someone who's just getting into DIY. Poke around the forum and you'll see what kind of results growers are getting with QBs - stellar results, man.
Best reason I can think of not to do it.also you become a target for a rippers
I aint no punk and i would kick someones ass. I run with a pack of mean dogs and they bite.Best reason I can think of not to do it.
