I have my plant in a small tent with a pretty big led light. It's getting plenty of ligh however, im wondering if it would appreciate the real sun light from the window, or if i should leave it be?? Its very bright today where i live.

Fucking hilarious. My first shot at growing an auto was some freak mutant plant that for the longest time lost two leaves for every two it gained (precisely, like clockwork - always two and two, always at the same intervals). The wife wouldn't let me toss it, so I let it go. It eventually stopped dropping leaves, and I ended up with a plant that was all bud, but only one inch wide and three inches high. Worthless, but she even made me chop and dry the damn thing. I told her she can smoke it herself. She cracks me up!

Hey... I just used my light meter and the sun through the window made the meter needle go all the way to the top. my led light only moves the needle to the 2000 l mark. how can the sun be worse? I'm just curious if you have any logic behind that or are you just going off that post about the guy who's wife made him grow a plant that flowered at 2 inches tall...

I'm not trying to go through the whole grow using the window sil... I just wanted to give it some of this bright ass sun that's blazing in through my patio door right now. I don't see how that can be that bad.

What kind of led do you have that's supposedly brighter then the sun?? What brand?
Ain't saying LEDs are brighter than the sun, house glass has filters for u.v and shit. And moving the plant around all the time won't do it any good, wtf it's your plant do as you will.

Okay glass has filters and plants don't like to be moved around. I get it. finally a logical answer. You my friend are awarded the best answer award.

It’s fine. The plant will photosynthesize a n He bright sunlight.

But the uv is filtered as well as the suns rays through the angle of the glass. And radiant heat may make it all more of a problem than benefit.

Stability of environment is the most important factor in growing a plant to its potential in my opinion.

Makes complete sense. I will leave them in their tent. Thanks fellow smoker.

My grow is in closets that are in a room that gets direct sun through the window. Everyday I open the shades for about an hour and a half because the sun beats directly through the window into the closet. Can't see how they wouldn't appreciate all that side lighting and perfect spectrum.

250 watts of screw in LED. Four weeks today.IMG_7253.JPG IMG_7251.JPG IMG_7252.JPG

I did move some plants back and forth under a slanted roof light and some not. The plants which I had behind the window grew a lot faster than the ones only under a fluorescent (110W). They didn't mind being dragged back and forth either.

Lack of UV is hardly an issue since the led won't be producing UV either.

Still, I'm never doing that again. Too much effort for hardly any reward.
