You know I'm glad this is taking awhile cuz I can't seem to make up my mind. Wires are hanging and my ballast is on a 2x4 cuz I don't know where I want to mount them still. My growing method isn't even set yet! I know walking around the room even right now with a single light it's not so easy to jump all around the room. So then I start thinking ok single 1k instead of 2 600's. scrog has even popped into my head. Like a 5g hempy x2 scrog sounds fun. Vertical slabs still an option too. I'm kinda buzzed and rambling.

I'm thinking of making a big lazy Susan to put my plants on. Solves the issue of getting around to the back. I also picked up some more fans. I'm gonna run one on my intake instead of being passive, that fan will run 24/7 and that way my big fan can shut off when the lights do.

Better yet, a lazy Susan scrog! The thought of plants just flopping around sounded like a bad idea. So I was like well how can I hold it still? A screen! Ooh this sounds like a good one I got brewing up.

edit: googled it, lol figures its been done already.

When I realized a 4x2 cabinet was going to be too large I thought hey repurpose your old grow cab into what I need! So now I'm working on this.

I picked up these 2 fans too, they'll come out of the plate. Ones going on my intake and the other on the veg cabinet. 2 different sites said they are like 540cfm and there's just no way, they move some decent air but not that much.

Nice Chaka. I am going to have to be setting up a stealth cab myself soon. Using a fridge probably.

Assembling the top of the lower level. It's about 32" square. I measured out on the round part where to put my wheels cuz we don't want them falling off right!

The down side so far, I need a ladder to adjust my light height. Definitely going to have to switch to yo-yo's or something else.

Really nice new grow rm supcaka. I really like the lazy susan idea, I'd get a couple coats of paint on it before you spill any water on the OSB. I did some looking around for a thermostatically run fan speed controller, I found a few, they were all for agricultural buildings, but they were pricey. (starting around $250). In the end I found that I needed fans on max during the summer and at min during the winter. Do you have any plumbing near the new rm? The best and most used improvement I've made to my rm is running water and a drain.

Keep up the good work.

Funny how you're touching on things I just discovered today. For one that I need to do a poly coat on the wood, already spilled water on it and felt silly getting a towel for a few drops. As for the fan, I do have a speed controller and I've discovered the large room doesn't fluctuate quickly. So what I've been doing, because I'm available, is at night I turn the fan as low as it will go. In the morning the lights have been on an hour or 2 so I check temps and adjust it accordingly. In this weather it can run about 1/3 speed and I'm sure in summer it will be full speed. If I'm leaving for the day I just turn the fan up higher than necessary since I won't be able to check it for x number of hours.

Ive thought about the water and drain thing. I do have some not too far away from the room but I gotta work into that one a little slower :) it would be spectacular to have it right there in the room though!

I've always dried my plants in the closet or somewhere other than the grow. My last plant dried in the grow, dried about a day quicker for me. Still cured up danky as can be so that's where everything will dry from now on, light cycles and all!
