Thanks bro I saw that. I don't rep people often, I have tried to give you and WBW some rep but it keeps telling me to spread it around! Will rep you guys back when I can. Oh and my hydro store guy told me about that trick. I like having them on top when I water them cus it disperses the water evenly. I thought the guy was just trying to sell me shit I didn't need but I really liked it. I would tell all to give it a try and see if you like it.

Haven't seen or tried roots organics at any of my shops bro. I had bad experiances with cheap soil and when I switched to FF I haven't had any problems. I have my tongue way up Fox Farms ass on their nutes and soil! LOL I just see some many new guys going cheap and fucking up their grow to save $10 on soil! I will talk to the hydro guys next time I am up there and ask them about Roots Organics. they may have it and I just didn't see it.
 
WBW - howard said it - why f**k up your grow to save 5 or 10 bucks on soil..... FFOF all the way!!! You don't need nutes to veg for 2 or 3 weeks (depending on the strain) because FFOF soil is so "hot".... it's the best - combined with advanced nutes... then you get a newbie like me with a BEAUTIFUL first grow - mostly because of great products like FF... and of course the great advice from my RIU friends!

what ever soil you use - NEVER - EVER grow in miracle grow- 8-)

W gotta ask yourself why

why all soil growers that use all diff seeds

and all diff nutes

diff lights

all suggest same soil

a few exceptions are those that mix their own

i spoke to a guy onse that reusese he said he would not reuse anthing but FFOF and that was after a few amendments -he said ff only one that can stnd up to reuse

you can find other stuff that you like better for what ever reason like price availability

but you wont find nutin off the shelf yo plants will like better fosho

i normaly add a little more pearllite and im good to go ahhhh grow

i hae never used roots organics, but like i said i have used promix and foxfarm at the same time. and saw the actual difference. u will also use more nutes going with. because with foxfarm you REALLY dont need nutes for 3 or weeks, the stuff is good on that. and if u were to get light warrior instead of perlite the growth rate goes up even more. they pretty much got it down and are cannabis specific no matter what the site say;).. promix is good, like i said if you are doing a large grow or your going to prepare your own soil.
 
and kiki, i have had succesful grows with miracle grow moisture control, more than once. and i have been burnt n seedlings fucked up by miracle gro as well, the secret is using alot of perlite MG is very high in urea.
 
Eventually if you stick with soil forever you will go to pro-mix and make your own mix. I'm hoping to be doing this soon, but for now I'm using FFOF.
 
Glad to see so many FF lovers in here! ;) I don't know about the whole reuse thing? I would be too afraid of crap in the soil, I try to wash all my pots when done in bleach to sterilize them and get them ready for the next grow so I couldn't see myself reusing leftover soil. But if it works for you guys more power to ya! One thing I have to say about FFOF is that I use it from seedling all the way through, and like said I don't feed my plants for a lil while! The soil has everything in there that a little seedling needs. I have never had a burn problem on my seedlings either. I try to pound it in every new growers head that FFOF is worth its weight in gold because of the problems that you wont run into later in your grow but to each his own.

Someone said something about Advance nutes with FFOF? What advance nutes are you using? I use the FF 6 nutes and I was going to do a side by side with Advance nutes but as soon as I saw the prices I said fuck that! I think the pahrana "spelling?" was almost $90 for a little bottle of it! Advance is some expensive shit to try a side by side on!
 
Howard im wit you i have never reused and i also wash wit a mild bleach and a little dish detergent between each use and reuse
but if i was a reuser i would prolly only reuse ffof like my bud and replinish a few nutes
 
Lol, i dont wash pots or non of that, i use to.. but no more. as far as salt buildup in soil, i just flush all of it out. and an even easier easier way was to just do a simple flush with hygrozyme.

Yeah in growing cleanliness is key to preventing problems in the grow room! The only problems I have had so far growing was one Nat problem and a ph problem oh and I had one stem rot problem due to over watering. Laziness to be honest! LOL So much can be prevented just by cleaning!
Hey does anyone use the free grow software they have on this site? I use it all the time and I would recommend it to all of ya! You can track allot of shit on the program!
 
Howard i use it all the time - nid like to see a spot for pollenation under flower section
i asked the writer about that and i thanked him for makinit available at that price
