iv had a few problems with my ph rising but i think its just the new hydroton makein it go up -- easily sorted with a bit of ph down for now tho:peace:

Hi mate, looking forward to this grow as i've heard many good things about the SLH.

Not sure if you know mate, but water preparation is very important in hydro. one of the things that will affect pH is temperature. This is why water should be left out for 24 hours (approx) to get to the correct temperature. also the nutrients should be mixed in several hours before they are used as nutrients that haven't been properly mixed will also cause changes to the pH over time.

thanks for the advice mate i'll keep it in mind. my temps are ok at the moment but i did mix my nutes with the water and used it straight away next time i'll mix it the day befor and see how it goes.good to have you her aswell mate :peace:
 
just ordered some 6" ducting as soon as that turns up hopefully by wensday i'm going to switch to the 400w hps:bigjoint: i'll be doing my first res change to day just to keep things nice and fresh and iv also ordered some flora nova bloom which i'm think of using throughout the whole grow because iv seen some really good results using this method using the aquafarm//waterfarm :peace: :bigjoint:

Just read through and I hope everything is going to plan.. :) Lookin' healthy pal :) I just wanted to ask, have you ever done hydro or just these waterfarms, I only ask because most of my friends use hydro buckets.. I'm assuming these work under the same principle? or same principle as wilma?

No worries if you haven't tried the others, i was just wondering if there is much difference?
