Super Silver Haze Community Journal

As I mentioned up thread I enjoy the challenge of limiting size/height I've been trying to address it with mixed results.
If you're interested in attempts at limiting the end size/height.

That's actually worse than I expected. No dice then.... I'm not gonna spend 150 euros to get 1 or 2 plants with the right pheno.
I guess the Best person to ask is shanti maybe email ask him what he thinks the current ratio on that one today would be for ww it's one in 50 for example

If I know a pack is pretty good based on grow reports, and I really want to find something good, I buy 2 packs. 1 pack of anything is always a bit of a gamble

I do one 2-pound grow per year for myself so no pheno hunts and mother plants for me.

SSH is a 25-year old classic strain that is still in the hands of the original breeder -a guy with a legendary rep- yet after all this time and at these prices (10 Euros a pop for regular seeds is not cheap in my book) he can't do better than "1 keeper per pack"?

Why is that right pheno not isolated and an IBL by now? Am I missing something?

I’d consider fem beans then. You could end up with all males

This is my contribution to this thread. I am growing one SSH that just got transplanted 2 days ago. I kept her in a tiny quart pot for a month! She looks really bad right now! LOL! She didn't take the hot soil very well. Im not worried about though, I know she will bounce back quickly. I also took 2 really nice cuttings from her that are currently rooting.
(I got one female out of 6 seeds)

She is in the top right corner....↓

I kept the best male and tossed it into the living room. It will remain on the windowsill and flower there. I will collect the pollen and make more SSH seeds. I will happily share the seeds with anyone in the USA who is interested and ready to grow some SSH. :bigjoint:

I started some more SSH seeds to see if I get lucky with more ladies. Big thanks to @shnkrmn for the beans!

That SSH reminds me of Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree

I have decided to take the SSH out of the flower tent. She is super stunted and everything else is ready to be flipped. So, unfortunately my contributions to this thread will have to wait another 9-10 weeks. LOL

I plan to run 3 SSH next time. I will post a few updates of the Charlie Brown plant when she starts bouncing back and puts on some healthy growth. She seems to be rejecting my soil mix really hard. LMAO! Everything else is going beast mode! I will figure it out. Finicky little B.

She looks yellow compared to everything else. Most likely magnesium deficiency. Super weird! She will stay here and veg out until the next cycle.

This is how the flower tent looks right now. Ready to rock and roll. IMG_20250110_041635339_HDR.jpg

Cheers
