Hell yer....

Most 8 bulb t5's seem to be 4ft as a close equivelant wattage to hps...

Actually find lights need to be much higher for seedlings and young plants under hps than the light charts suggest....

I gotva 400 watt hps i was gonna use for veg but it makes the rent real hot so I have to kick on the inline fan . with the t5 I can get aways with just a small fan. I'm getting a 8 bulb t5 hoping it will take me all the way threw veg. Then switch to how for flower. Will I be ok ?

I have a small op and use a 4 bulb 2 footer for seedlings and clones. Even with that small light...I shut off 2 of them for clones. So be sure when you build it...to put switches so you can shut some off. It's gonna be hot...you know...
