T5 HO compact fluorescent, closet grow

It looks like you got it squared away. Nice job man! Just curious, why did you choose cfls over mh/hps? That area looks perfect for hid lighting.

guys calm down with telling this guy to flush his plant I think what he needs to do is properly PH his water, if your PH was at 8 I can tell you right now this is ph lockout. Don't flush your plant just water with water that's at a 5.8 PH .
Kinda late and plants needed to be flushed...

Thanks for the advice. I did end up flushing the worst plants and did some transplanting and cut back on nutes. Plants are doing much better now. Of course they could be better, but at least no more yellowing. Pretty sure the main problem was the terribly high PH though.

When I started this grow, I was using a 3' x 2' area. As things progressed, it got real tight in there, so rather than get rid of plants, I kept expanding the grow area. Anyway, I'm having a hard time keeping temps down as it is!

Next grow is just going to be two plants, and I'm not going to let them get so big!

Update: About 5 1/2 weeks into 12/12 light period. Last week I dialed back the amount of nitrogen I was giving the plants. One was starting to get some purple on the lower stem again. Now the lower leaves are looking kinda light on some of the plants. I don't know if things react that quickly or what, but I'm going to increase the nitrogen again next watering.

0228142120.jpg0228142121a.jpgThere are small roots growing on my clones, which surprised me because I took them from flowering plants, and have kept them under 12/12 light. I haven't even covered them with a humidity dome, and at night when the lights are out, temps go as low as 60. I don't know what they're going to do, but It's just an experiment.

Edit: I also added 6 more 23 watt cfl's so now using 588 total watts.
Not much else to report on, but I'm wondering how much longer to wait before harvesting. Trichomes still have a ways to go, but are mostly milky, with a few starting to go amber. I thought I was going to be able to harvest by week 6, but I'm thinking maybe have to wait 7 or 8?

Anyway, since nobody really checks this thread, i'm probably going to post a question in the cfl forums on whether anyone thinks my buds will fill in more if i wait.0301141322.jpg0224141958.jpg0224141938.jpg0228142119.jpg0225141413.jpg0301141350.jpg0224142000.jpg0225141411.jpg

update: About 6 1/2 weeks into 12/12. Oldest plant is about 110 days old. :weed: Been watering with 1/2 strength nutrients this week.
One of my plants made about 13 bananas all of a sudden. I plucked them off before they opened. There have been a few more, and I was pretty worried at first;
Almost chopped the plant down, but decided not to.
Another plant made one banana.
Anyway, Vostok says I'm going to have seeds in all my bud. Maybe he's right. Time will tell.
