I don't think you will have a problem heating the tents. You may however have problems cooling the tents.

FWIW I would reccomend T5 HO for veg.

Aright what are my options for cooling? Cooltube or just proper ventilation and fans and as for the t5 h0s I would need multiple lights to = 1 ceramic metal hallide thanks for the feedback!

I grow in sunhut tents with t5's and i have no heat issues. I also agree with bonzi use t5 for veg and your cmh for flower. if you are using the 400cmh i would use something like the 4 tube t5 fixture so you are at as close to the 40% light during veg. and any t5 ho fixture will do with 6500k bulbs. I know you are thinking t5 ho not cheap. not on the net. check local electrical supply houses way cheaper!!
But if you use the 400cmh you will most likly have heat issues i would just do a good vent system for good air exchange. and as for vetical or horizontal that is your choice depending on how your grow is set up what will get you better light coverage. well hope this helped good luck with grow.

I havnt ordered a cmh yet, would it be better just to run all t5s and I greatly appreciate all the help

You can use a 250 in each grow box.Air cooled reflectors will help keep temps down.
T5s can be used clone/veg but when it comes to flower you would want a hid light to pack on the plants.
So if i was in your position I would get a 250 hps and a 2 foot 4 bulb t5 fixture.

Slow down WBW. I'm trying to get him to that point but he needs to have some information first. I want him to understand what he is doing and why.

If you can fit it into your tent, you can get a four tube t-5 from a lighting contractor supply house...as a matter of fact here you go, this is where I got my t-5.

As previous people have noted, they are great for vegging and will save you on your electric bill.

They don't come with lamps but you can find them cheap enough on the net.

If you are in the states, I would go to high tech garden supply and get their growbright 600 watt high pressure sodium lamp for flowering. They are about the cheapest lamps you can find and they have an added thirty percent more blue light in them then a regular high pressure sodium lamp. They also put out 95,000 lumens. I've used them for three grows now and have had no problems and good results. My last grow was four sativas and I got just over fourteen ounces dry.
