I'm a classic pot head.
However, I do also smoke for my insomnia and for pain whenever I hurt myself. Or to help me get through a cold.

I was afraid of that. I made a pretty good looking Dusty Springfield in my youth. Made I should go for the Tina Louise look now days.

Unless you declare an emergency ATC does not give a shit how many people are on board the aircraft. A medical flight will be designated by "life flight" before the call sign. See what I'm getting at?

Yes, there is truth in the terminology. It is medicine, there are MANY patients, there are many, many caregivers. Not picking a fight on that. But, to me, the whole thing smacks of jargon. It reminds me of how the medical profession (and everybody associated with it) started to use the word "lives" instead of patients. "We have 1265 lives under our care". Makes them sound so damned important.

I'm a stoner. I smoke weed because I like it. On the other hand, I could be riddled with diseases that marijuana treats. I have no way of knowing.

Is this just a dance that gets done to stay right with the law? Is it a pretentious wank?

this is one of my biggest issues with the medical scene..
i'd never say weed doesn't help people, as that's simply obvious. my problem is that otherwise normal, healthy adults, only got "sick" when they found out weed cures w/e ails them, and now can quasi-legally smoke and grow weed under the guise of medical.. these people no longer go score a bag, they go purchase their medicine from a dispensary, which to me sounds a lot like going to get get a sack from a dealer with top notch, grade a nugs and hashish.. must be nice..
i'm smoking the same thing, probably for a lot of the same reasons, yet i'm getting high, and they're medicating.. i'm getting arrested for under a gram of bud, and they can get pulled over with an oz in the trunk and not even get looked at.. not to mention being allowed to grow their own plants, and trade with friends, err, patients, clones and bud and hash and god knows what else.. i have a few plants in the closet, and hope the cops don't bust down the front door..

we both live in the same country mind you, not them the u.s. and me in the united arab emirate ffs.. either, legalize, or get off the pot, pun intended of course.. let's end the medical facade, and call a spade a spade, and just let one and all smoke this plant and receive it's benefits..

Why can't we just be treated like human beings, are we really that bad of people?

Alcohol can kill thousands everyday but cannabis hasn't killed one and we are the scum of the earth, but we have come a long ways and it's only getting better.
