Texas Growers Unite!

You I'm looking for a trade in TX. I have several 1000w HPS ballasts. I need a 600w HPS ballast. Any trades out there?

I'm not up for a trade, but I know brite ideas on soco sells used equipment, plus they do a discount for cash. don't know if it would work for you but it's a thought.

good luck:peace:

I go to the Texas Hydro off Burnet and love it there. Chet and Chris are the only 2 guys that work in there, and very helpful. They won't BS you on a BS product. They will sell you anything you like, but def give you their opinions on which things actually work best, versus what the advertisements say.

I have a question for all you BriteIdeas guys. The owner of BI is pushing his own nutrient line. It is called Happy Harvest. Anyone with any experience? I would like to see BI do some side-by-side testing, or I would happily run 2 sets of 3 plants side-by-side for them. It looks cool, but I want to see what it can actually do first.

The guys at Texas Hydro on Burnet are rad dudes. Always very nice.

I really want to avoid spending any money. I was just hoping that someone wanted a 1000W and had a 600W sitting around. The reason for the trade is because the space is small and 1000W could work but it involves a LOT of airflow. I figured that I would just see. :hump:

I used to use the HH bloom and it worked well, but i've gone organic.

I've gone to TH on burnet with mixed results. the first couple of times there was a guy I haven't seen the last couple of times...so baked he couldn't (or wouldn't) hear my questions. Literally one time I went in for Cloning gel, and he started to tell me about neem, why neem was what I needed and I could foret all my trouble because I was about to buy neem....I already had neem and had mentioned that. I really wanted what he was smokin' but I went to Brite Ideas next time.

Chet is cool and the store is open on mondays, so I guess I'll still go. I really like the south austin TH more the one on Burnet . Probably because I worked on burnet for 15 years. :hump:

by the way BI just moved into a MUCH bigger place.

moving from illinois to san antonio in a couple weeks......what's the quality bud situation down there?? wanna be able to smoke decent green while i get my grow going

depends on who you know, when I first moved here I could only find shwag. I thought there was no dank in SA. Come to find out I was wrong. In the past year 2 years, I've scored green crack, strawberry cough, sour diesel, blueberry, sweet tooth, jack herer, lambs breath and quite a few other nameless nugs that were all very good, but more than one person has told me that you can't even find shwag in austin.

2 weeks left can't wait

damn bro very nice, I've had trouble with mine germing just old seeds... Its alot of old TRC beans, I have them inside under 700 watts (300 clf, 400watt mh) In the same tray my cucubers and beef master tom, popped but none of my VBS x Karen or Bigbudx NL popped yet, I blaming the seeds...

I am just look for a mom, I can bush out, inside, then root cuts and keep a cycle going..

Hey I would die for a G-13 male..

2 Pics, same area. After losing 65 Babies to flooding, got pissed & dropped a bunch of seeds..- Straight into worm farm dirt & old, soaked Cow Manure. The worm dirt does better. Soaked & non-soaked seeds dropped. I've made a new rule, always soak first, for another reason is that it appears that the hull is too hard & brittle when capping the new sprouts, causing big problems. Some seeds hasn't popped, so soaking 20 G-13/Haze this morning in warm rain water. The Babies stay outdoors. Afghan, Orange, Master Kush, Easy Sativa & THC Bomb. Next week, the G-13. I counted 117 with little leaves this morning. Not counting the dozens popped, but without leaves. End Goal, 50 Ladies to harvest in Nov. That would be VERY Cool.

Hey check hydro expo in fort worth, And if you buy directly through Hydrofarm aka (texdro's supplier) you can get better deals and service. Ask for Ty

Good Post, but My favorite of all time is Waterbaby's but the owner moved to colorado, And if you wanna talk about a cool guy, his name is Texas kid aka TK beans...

you can't even find shwag in austin.

East side or west side? LOL it's a shame but schwag is soooooo hard to find on the west side, dank yes, but no schwag. East side schwag is easier to find and i can get the dank too. i've been here a long time though. Schwag is hard to find since clifford antone died...LOL

when it's really dry and you want schwag,, check out the kitchen workers who only speak spanish. yo querro mota
good luck.

I'll be sure to mark the G-13/Haze, seperately. See what does what, maybe get you a male- MOG. The others, no need to mark, the Orange is esy to ID, a LOT of difference between the Master Kush & Afgha. The Easy Sativa is light green, & gets real tall. Last year, at 5' tall, I cloned one. Then it male'ed on me. Had 10 male clones. If old seeds, I'd fridge 2 days, room temp 2 days, then soak in (warm) well or rainwater for 2 days with a drop of liquid seaweed. I like the paper towel-zip lock bag, inside a brown paper bag in a warm spot for germing, other than just using the worm farm itself.

Austin craigslist saves the day again... 400 watt HPS HTG ballast and hood for $80. Finally repalced that old streep lamp light. 3 unkown dirt weed flowering and one really big dissappointed baby ak male plant. When should I polenate the shit weed with the ak47? Plants are 8 weeks old and grown from 12/12 since seed.

Thanks for all the advice, in the last 2 pages you guys. Ill have to give Brite Ideas another try. Ive just kind of started to build a relationship with the guys at Texas hydro and they've yet to steer me wrong.

Here are a few pics of a few girls... They look droopy right now, because my roommates little brother was in town, and I couldn't give them nutes until about 18 hours after they needed them. They will be looking good in a day or so... Just refilled 2 20lbs tanks, so the CO2 should get them healthy in no time.

These pictures do not do them justice. I will take some pics during lights off.

These are at 2 weeks into flower.

Pic 1: Purple Lady. It is growing like an X-mas tree, and I haven't trimmed her once. About 12 bud spots.

Pic 2: Top of one of the LA Cons, right before it started flowering.

Pic 3: Uploaded the wrong picture here. Sorry.

Pic 4: Utopia Haze. Wow, this strain has impressed me the most. Just a vibrant grower, and tons of bud spots. This plant and the white widow are close to 3.5-4' tall.

I can't believe they found 10000 plants in Dallas, does anyone know if they ever found who they belonged to??? Never heard anything about if they found who was responsible, but i saw the shit. That was hella crazy. I feel sorry for whosever it was cause that was a nice setup.
