I purchased Lost Coast OG from The Attitude Seed bank (Whose service I love btw ^_^) under the new seed company, Emerald Triangle seeds.
3 weeks since germ and I am confused by the seeds already. All 6 plants are in an ebb and flow system, same germ date, same reservoir. Every single plant is not only growing at vastly different rates, the leaves are not the same shape (some look thinner and thus more sativa), heights range from 2 inches (horribly runted for some reason) to 10 inches, also different signs of nutrient deficiencies among half of them.
My prize of the six has 300% the leaf mass of the2nd place plant, is half the height of the tall lanky one, and shows absolutely no sign of nutrient deficiency (perfect specimen).
The tallest (10 incher) has the thinner fan leaves (looks more sativa for some reason) and every few days looks like it has a different nutrient deficiency but has not had any nute burn. One day the tips of all the leaves were yellow, then the tips were green but the base and outwards was turning yellow, some leaves started curly funny (usually a pH stress indicator). Now though, it shows no sign of yellowing, what was previous yellow is now green.
Between these 2 plants, the width of leaves is very dramatic, the tall one is much more light green (sativa quality) and the leafy one is very dark (indica sexiness). Very different reactions to the same nutes/ph/ec/light schedule/flooding times
Now shouldn't a seed company advertising a strain make sure that their strain is IBL (Inbred Line)? Has anyone else experienced such dynamic differences from the same strain from the same company? Is there a chance seeds got mixed together and I got a random batch? Anyone else have experience with this company before I flame their name? haha
This is not my first grow, I have experiences in soil, DWC and aquaponic systems. (God if only half the "organic" hydro farmers on here knew the extreme joy of Cannabis in an aged aquaponic system.
This is however my first ebb/flow system and I am doing my best to mimic Al B. Fuct (because I love his amount of sense while reading his posts so therefore I shall learn from his experiences ) except my set up is on a smaller scale for a Medical Marijuana patient and their spouse who is also a patient.
