I spent six hours today rebuilding a wire harness for a ski doo.I haven't checked the hand warmers and tailight but I think I got it right.

IMO the swap is not worth it.At 265 lbs I'd be scared of the aluminum frame breaking. At 150 lbs I'd be hella concerned. With a good strong neck the bike will way 20 some pounds MORE then your steelie. If you want a good builder check out Stouffers or Stoffers Racing outa CA.
IMO,put a newer cr 250 ignition in your bike and yer done!

Great read. I'd thought "if it's Snell it's swell" ... now I think that "swell" may be a verb.
I know snell sure seems quieter.

I did not know lids were made for the impact of gravity from head to earth. It did say snell was better suited to racing apps iirc.

I remember reading too, maybe not that article, that dot certification is basically on the honor system.

Never ridden a ski I bet that rocks. Used to own like the whole sled necks series.

Always thought service Honda's were pretty sick....snapping frames no bueno some gixxers had that problem....and the cr500 would be the ultimate supermoto and offer a real advantage as a street bike in being without a power valve and in my mind have more length between rebuilds?

FWIW,Service Honda is a HACK.Absolutely zero to do with Honda.IDK how he gets to use that name.

420God I have always wanted to see the custom chopper crowd shove Busa motors in their creations....whadaya think?
I've seen in done, not really my cup of tea. I prefer the look and sound of a big V-twin when it comes to choppers.

I doubt it will corner but a turbo sportbike motor is a very proven and reliable drag powerplant.....Iheard some of those guys only rebuild once per season.
