I have a growlab , It is ok for now .

The problems I have are , Little pin holes all around the velcro tabs , and also around the zippers .Some of the holes are getting bigger now with more zipper pulls .

I have the 180 version with the two front viewing windows they dont work to well either . The more you pull on the velcro the more pin holes start showing up ! Luckily my room stays pitch black during sleep time or I would probably have light leaks with all the pin holes .

Not trying to bash the company or anything I just dont think it was worth 250.00 dollars .

I am on my first grow and will finish with this tent , But after harvest I am taking it down and will be done with it .

Just my 2 cents worth .

What's up guys. Is there a point where you guy's pull the manifold and leave the pump circulating. I think I remember reading to do so, I just can't remember.

I leave the pump going for increased water movement. Some argue it is not necessary so it's your call. It might suck some dead/dying root material into the pump filter but that is easily handled by inspection of the pump during the res change. Roots are tough by design.

1, the better water pumps have a removable filter in them to keep sucked up roots from clogging the pump.


2, No one ever quotes the INSTRUCTION MANUAL on thier site, or the CD that comes with the kit or is printed on paper by them.
It says after the roots are in the deep water, to put the pump on a timer, of 3 minutes ON per hour, and 57 minutes OFF, per hour.

RP, Well into water to me is roots coming from all sides of the netpot and at least 6" into the water. Usually get a growth spurt or bulking up of the main stem around that time also.

Speaking of water temp...since I modified my system to use a pump, manifold, and feeder tubes my water temp jumped up rapidly (over 75*) due to the pump running continuously.

It seems that the pump I was using (from my old reef tank system) is too big (over 300gph) and throttling it back (so that the feeder tubes are dripping, not streaming) causes the pump to strain and heat up.

So I bought a cheap 150gph pump, and while it still causes the water temp to rise at least it's not going above 72*.

What size water pump do you all use?
