Congrats on the aniversary. I have 36 years of service!

The gunk in the pump was causing your ph swings. Anything dead in the tank always does.

They look great Olias! MC is right, dead matter in the pump will cause swings in pH. Is that front middle spot always open? If so, you should cover it with something to keep light out of your res. Light will cause lots of problems, warm water, algae, slow root growth.

SMOKE REPORT: After leaving my buds in the jars for about a day, they got moist again so I removed them to dry some more. Last night they felt dry and have gone in the jars for good with a final dry weight of 27.8 grams. I know it's pretty low for 2 plants, but I'm happy for my first time. I smoked a bowl last night with my roommate, and it was great! I was high for over 3 hours, but I was not happy with the taste. The smoke is kinda harsh, but I think it will improve during cure.

It will def get better as it cures and more potent also. Try some at one week, two weeks and 3 weeks and note the difference.

do you mean the air pump? if so yes its a good idea to have it higher if the power goes out it wont pull any water back into the unit destroying it and causing a flood. Most do come with a one way valve that prevents this. If you are asking about the water pumps most need to be under water to work.
