i know it's the car talk thread and all, but that boat is pretty sweet imo, and i know most of us love anything that goes quickly, so i put them up anyhoo's..

thats why you equip the front haul with solar panels!
never thought of that, solar panels on a boat would go together like cabbage and ham..
but the enemy of all performance vehicles is weight, which is why electric will lose every time imo..

well look at RC cars. i got a 6 inch RC car that has a top speed of like 45 and it'll get to top speed in about 2 seconds. imagine if you built a real car (or boat) to scale. it would probably be TOO FAST. electric motors can really put out some RPM really quick and on something like a boat where it dont have much friction slowing it down and is basicly a engine on a piece of fiber glass they dont weigh too much and can have a ton of power strapped on to them. if that speed boat is build anything like a big scale RC boat that thing probably hauls some ass. and with something like AMG on it i bet it does

ide much rather that speed boat to have twin AMG V12s that would be sick wouldnt it? i got a marina near me that sells million+ race boats that have twin V8 engines that have 2 supercharges on EACH engine lol.
