Found a led driver manufacturer based out of china recommend by Irene @ rslgroup. The name of the company is ALLOOKING @ allooking.com.

The driver details can be found in a catalog located at the following link, select the first PDF file:

5 drivers paired with a 100 560mm 3000k CRI 90 strips would run you $695 for 5 fixtures running at 1500 watts not including shipping or custom duties. A 1200 watt or two 600 watt kits would cost you 800 before shipping or taxes and that is got the simple lm301b version. The tradeoff is less weight, no heatsink and less of a thermal footprint which has its own benefits.

Factor in the cost of wago connectors and the frame. The BXEB gen 3 win the race at value for money.

$700-$800 for 1500 watt is very sweet
So I managed to get the datasheet for two different 300-watt drivers. Bill from ALLOOKING can be contacted via E-mail @ [email protected]

The price is 190 RMB or roughly $29 USD

thats nice to see, first driver so far really beating the meanwell pricewise.
Efficiency is lower, but just had a quick look and if its for 20V it should be very good and comparable to menawell.
Not bad at all! nice find.

Anyone running the FOTOP-V2-600H-2 boards?? Thinking of getting a few of these to replace all of my single ended 1k HPS.
How many 1000SE you replacing? Are you in an open space? Whats you footprint per bulb?

The V1 is great and also available with 90cri diodes if you buy enough. Imho they are a better buy 80ish versus 125ish for board only.

I cant remember but i think the V2 comes with epi reds which im not sure are worth the hassle.

Replacing four lamps. All are in their own 4x4 tent so 4x4 footprint

So guys what do you think, should I run 2 or 3 of these for my 5x5? Its flower only, also cant decide if I run 2 of them, what color temp to run, 2700, 3000, or 3500.

I thought if I did run 3x of them, I could run one 2700 in the middle and 2x 3500 on the ends.Screenshot_20191206-124306_Alibabacom.jpg

Why does deciding have to be so hard lol.

For some reason I kinda like this, the 2 cheaper ones on the left and right, and the one with ir and uv straight down the middle

Got quoted $550 with shipping for one lamp

That is for board and driver.
You can probably do better, these are my buying advice: check locally for cut alu sheet and see if you can get a decent deal on 1000mm x 350mm sheets (40" x 14"), 3mm thick. These will manage atleast 250w per board easily, i havent tried 300 but pretty sure it should work as at 200w the boards need no heatsink and 250 w alu backing is barely warm. Also youll have some place to put monos or strips at a later time. Where im around this cost about 15$

By boards only, whatever fotops you like, my preference is v1 in 90cri, 2700k for flower only 3000k is more allaround but defo flower leaning. But these boards will probably come with a 10 unit minimum. If you dont wanna buy that many go for 3000k 80cri. Best for shipping is buying in multiples of 6.

Get drivers locally: hlg240-48AB or if you want a cheaper version with more power (but less efficient) try the lrs-350-48. But i would advice againt having the lrs insiide your tent. Drivers from china is a risk and hassle for warranty and you wont save very much. Get itt locally from an authorized dealer:. Having proper warranty and QC is worth it.

2 boards on 240 drivers will be enough per tent. These boards arent great on high wattage, as it increase hanging height and generate a hotspot.

3 boards per 4x4 is great but unmanageable in a tent.

Hanging height: about 14x16" but start out much higher.

6 x v1 boards plus shipping: around 600 plus trump tax.
Alu: lets say 100?
Drivers: depends on how you go but lets say around 300 for 6 x 240 drivers.

Comes out around 900 for 3 tents. Probably some more costs for cables and wagos bur sure as hell it wont change thhings much.

Thanks for the response. A little more technical then I wanted to go to start off with. Was hoping to get something pre assembled. I can always buy a spare driver incase one craps out on me and I have to deal with warranty bs. Was thinking of the HLG 600 but at $750 a piece the price is steep. These ones from kingbright and Meiju seem much more reasonably priced.

I can vouch for kingbright, I've been in love with them since my first order! You can read back and see the ones I grabbed and the results I've been getting.

I get where youre coming from. But its the easiest diy ever. Just drill holes, nuts and screws, poke in connection and thats it. My first build was basicly this, hadnt done anything before. And it went great. Theres a lot to be said about the feeling of diying something that works better for your situation than anything for sale for 3 times as much. This is a rabbit hole and im still digging, addictive shit this diy...

I still rec hlg for US customers, they are great. I respect the attention to details and quality. But i dislike the configuration of the 550, too much hotspot and hanging height for how we grow in an openspace.
