Im not sure what you are looking at buying exactly, I thought it was a hlg knock off. But these are really good and cheap, instead of buying a kit you could buy them individually and save on freight for the drivers and get them local. They are selling a shit load of these strips at the moment due to the price point. Cutter electronics is a real Cree distributor that also makes boards, they pass the discounts they get from cree directly onto their customers. Having the ability to adjust spectrums is a big deal in my eyes.
So I’d be making 2 fixtures with 16 strips each and 960 watts total. Strips are cool but his is going to require so much work and time. I am getting ready to move soon and have a baby at the end of April. My work load and time is limited lol. I assume you mount these on some aluminum angle? Need heatsinks? Why are these better? I am not even sure what the price would end up being. I have grown awesome weed with just 3000k and 3500k so the spectrum thing isn’t as big of a deal to me.

You don't need to mount them on angle, but if you are short on time probably go with what is easiest for you

So I picked up the kill-a-watt and the suspect drivers are pulling about 265-270w each at full bore. What would the "Io ADJ" pot do on an A-series (or AB-series) driver? Should I mess with that and see if they'll pull more power?

Turn them up to the max and see what wattage you get.
Pop off the rubber bung and turn screw inside up to max
You should be getting 320 watts at least on max

If it has a current adjustment try and turn it up.
That worked! Specs are as follows:
Driver A (on panels with 660nm) 335w 2.75A
Driver B (on panels with only 3000k) 360w 3.01A!

"A" seems good...but...Is is normal for them to run that much higher than spec ("B") ?? Should I set the "Io" pot lower than 3A to avoid frying the boards?

In the interim, I contacted Vivi @ Kingbrite....she told me to use the external potentiometer to adjust...I told her it wasn't even connected....she had no clue. I sent her pics of the adjustment I made.

The AB drivers are a bit different to what I am used to, they have a bit more functionality and they do go over thier spec. I was testing something yesterday on a 320w meanwell AB and it was consuming 370W

Yes apparently they are AB type or a damn good copy, though they're not labeled as such. Teknik you seem to know your equipment, is that labeling normal?
Y'all think I can count on these puppies for a few years? I was wanting some LED's for veg, if I don't have to drop another $180 on decent drivers right now.

Hello every body

I didn't get an answer from a thread I've opened so maybe I'll get it here... as I was told that there are LED pros in this forum.

I need a quick opinion on a board I'm about to buy. some specs:

LM301B 4000K SL: 164pcs;
LM301B 2700K SJ: 92pcs;
Cree XPE 660nm: 12pcs;
Cree XPE 730nm: 2pcs;
LG UV 380nm:2pcs.

120w
110-114v

what do you think on this mix of diodes and spectrum?

Thank you

Sounds quite allright but its kinda hard to evaluate without knowing the different drive currents of all diodes. A pic or a link would maybe help.

Budi, I believe this question was answered appropriately or do you want someone to tell you that the spectrum is awesome?

i'm sorry but it did not answer my question. still want opinions on if the spectrum is right.. if the mix of diodes is good.. if any one have experience with this particular board.. and if I should go full room with these boards or should I mix it with other boards.

I would definitely try a few first if youre the first buyer between us posting. The spectrum looks great. But what really matters is the quality of the board you receive. If noone tried it id go for testing out rather than filling a room.
