It's better here, but COVID19 isn't really going to go away. There will probably always be outbreaks, if not continuing mutations sweeping around the world like other coronaviruses. It could be 5 years or more before it's truly under control, with either a vaccine or most people getting it and developing some form of immunity or least some sort of resilience. Some people don't seem to be affected by it that much but others die. I guess there are many contagious diseases that have killed humans throughout history and this is another one we need to endure before we overcome.

It's hard to say for sure without the full electrical characteristics of those bars.
They look like two 48 volt boards wired in parallel on one heatsink. So if you want four of those bars driven at about 120 watts apiece I would say the HLG-480H-48 (A,B, or AB) would be a good match.

Going by the information provided by Kingbrite, would you say the driver I mentioned would be a good choice for powering four bars?

Id probably go for 2 x 240 drivers: makes for smaller and more flexible fixtures and as per hlg steve the failure rate on 240s is the lowest in the series. 480w driver failure takes out more light and is expensive to replace if you cant wait for warranty. A 240 driver can be replaced cheaply if you cant wait.

@Rocket Soul I saw that you have understanding in quantum boards, could you tell me if it is safe to buy this? In a matter of quality x price. It's at a value below the ones I found on alibaba, and it has the same config;
I had asked a question earlier but the friend indicated to me the video of the migro where he only talked about the driverless. In every topic I did not see about the yxo boards. Starting from the point where the diodes are all samsung/cree/osram would be of equivalent quality to the ones you usually buy on kingbrite alibaba?

I cant really say anything about this board except that it looks like all the rest, i dont know the seller, and that they are lying/overstating the specs: 250lums/w is not possible.
Kingbrite/meijiu: ive used them and they give you something close to what they claim at least, but probably not 100% top bin.
Honestly, what could anyone say re this board based on a picture?

This product is from an ad on aliexpress, i haven't even seen a comment on. But for having an affordable price and being samsung diodes I thought in turn would be useful.

Hi all, loooong time grower here (15+ yrs) I've recently took the switch to swap over to full led after dabbling on and off adding bits here and there over the years...
Recently bought 2 x qb288 boards from kingsbrite on alibaba and got them set up and working great.
Using them individually in 2 separate 3ft x 3ft tents...
I also have a small cabinet for snips and mom's, in that is what we call "dubie lights" in my circle lol, basically they are 11w leds bulbs equivalent to 100w on a strip, so 5 or 7 bulbs at a time, a friends called dubie2dubie made the first light like this hence the name. They are great for veggin.
Just a heads up, I'm in UK and my qb288 boars where so cheap but 3 or 4 weeks after I got the lights I also got a customs notice and a handling charge which I wasn't expecting and pushed the overall price of the leds up... Just something to bear in mind if buying off alibaba in the UK

Id avoid any AliExpress deal tbh, never heard anything good about them. And the link to supplier seems to not work? And its no bother, i get it cause ive been there myself. Its really hard to pull the trigger the first time, right? And you want to get assurances from someone? Any knowledge around here is based on people trying something and then sharing.
I got to meijiu from moflow trying some boards and showing parmaps; i decided that this looks good enough for me to not care about bins. And ive been mostly happy with the gear. But since then, like 2 years ago ive not really seen any doing parmaps or comparisons so anything new is hard to say. As a general advice: buy from places where people have done business before with not too much probs: meijiu, kb, r2t and maybe bava.
If your planning to run your boards soft then the difference between top and mid is less important. And you can also improve on your actual "light on the cannopy"-efficacy thru design, getting the spread right. Ive never bought a single kit,only boards that ive set on alu to get it to work for my space. The 240 kits, to me, might be a decent deal but they are imo over powered for the spread they have. Too much light in the centre and little on the sides for a 4x2. Better use them for maybe a 3x2 on 180w.

but they did make up the name "Quantum Board"..
just because China uses it on their knock offs...we shouldn't
sure ..these China made Boards rock..and yes HLG started first making them there..

Also remembering that there are loads of formats which dont copy hlg, its not all ripping off. Well, tbh maybe thats better stated as they dont all ripp off hlg, they also ripp off other people/companies designs. Im pretty sure that the r2t 560 board is a copy of the ones you had designed.
Also, in my times contacting some of these companies its happened that theyve showed me really cool stuff that they wouldnt sell me in the end cause it was someones design and they werent allowed.

Friends, thank you so much again for the clarifications. It helped me a lot to make this decision, every investment that goes a little money, we need to think about it. I will forget these aliexpress boards and i will kingbrite because it is the most recommended in the community.
Thinking about what you said @Rocket Soul , that the 240 kits have more light in the center than on the sides, would it be more interesting to take two of 120 and put one on the side of the other, horizontally? Instead of the way in which they come mounted, vertically. My space for these QB is 60x60x1.40 (width x depth x height)

For that space your already way over powered, its basicly a 2x2, right? You also need more height to do decent growing, you lose alot of height in hanging height and pot height and filter, like almost a meter.

Have a look at @bigmikey86 setup he posted on this thread a bit back. Basicly: 6 boards, and you wont need much more than 480watts.

Yes, I believe that 240 is a lot for this space, so I think about rotating them with half the power, thus making 120w in the sum of the two, according to what I know when they work with the lowest power, has a higher efficiency, generating more ppfd.
I would love to be able to have a larger space, like a whole room hahaha, but at the moment is what I can. I think about not having very tall plants, instead of 2 tall, having 4 smaller ones with more side branches and more robust, wouldn't it be better?
