solar city has been emailing and calling me relentlessly ever since i used some program of theirs to get a rough estimate on how much it would cost to install enough solar for a living situation with a grow attached.

You may have been talking about a panel cover or you may have been talking about the sub panel but it made no sense.

There is plenty to check for in the main panel. Added breakers, double tapping, illegal bypass connections, meter issues, etc.

there is a 60 amp sub panel in my garage connected to the main panel outside. three wires and it comes off. i'd do it myself if i didn't have more respect for the danger of electricity.

there will be nothing to see. you're an idiot.

You cant unwire a sub panel and yet you call me an idiot.

How does the electricity magically go from the main panel outside to the sub-panel inside?? There wouldnt be a hole to connect those 3 wires through right? There arent any holes on the inside where the box was mounted or anything right?? Yeah, nobody is gonna notice anything.

I am a home inspector and I would out your shit in a second. If they are looking for tampering you are gonna be discovered.

ran the wire to the sub panel along with the rest of the wires, right up and over and into the garage. disconnect those three wires from the main panel, drag them through into the garage, and done. sub panel is mounted to my indoor greenhouse, which he will never see.

but if he does go inside for a look, he will find lots of carpentry projects underway in there, no light, no ballasts, no sub panel, nothing for growing of any sort.

i could easily take those three wires off. i'd rather not if i don't have to though.

And the guy from Solar City doesnt have to enter the premisis nor does the owner need to give him any sort of access but none the less, both of them are meeting out there...
