Maumee river during walleye run was always crowded. Every once in a while someone would anchor right where you are dropping lead.
Loop a hook downward on your jig and snag the anchor rope. Pull the anchor off the bottom with your pool cue fishing pole. Watch them drift down stream.

We always had a catfish pole on board. They love rocks so 25lb test nylon rope will pull an anchor up easy
Did a little Spoonbill fishing today.
Got 6, kept 3.
First one is my best @ 72lb, the second pic is a serious contender for lake record @ 125.
The dude on the left is my height @ 6' 2".
