We are still on, honkey. Hydro and littlebat are good people. It seems, though, that someone isn't working at quite the same level as the rest of us, as you've surmised. It's been a problem for a little while, and littlebat's been handling it well (privately, up to a POINT) and with class.

I'll tell you what, the Conquistadors are growing well, I am STILL feeding mild nutrients to the Papaya gifted to me trying to get a full taproot.

Oh, and I killed a bunch of my (Mystery Seed) plants Thursday. I also need to find out more about hermaphrodite genetics, because all of those plants come from 5th generation clones, one of which turned male (hermie, yeah?) and pollinated all the others, which is how I came by all these large, healthy seeds. Since it's also a concern with Las Conquistadoras, I thought it might be something we could all put our brains to.

So it sounds like to me that you two can get back to your Love/Hate relationship... A set of friends that grows together will get stoned together .. How about a group hug ?

I have decided that I would prefer to continue to post in this thread and only this thread -- I started it, I provided the seeds, I am not going to be scared away, as long as this person NEVER CONTACTS ME AGAIN IN ANY WAY, including posting about and to me on this site. But mods, I am asking you to just CONSIDER that maybe this behavior is inappropriate and threatening to women. Please, please take it seriously when a woman is being treated in this manner.

Please at least take it seriously when a member of this site is harassing another to get seeds, and saying things in threads like, "I just wanted your seeds. I was trying to butter you up to get them." Is this not in any way frowned-upon behavior on RIU?

Giving a person your number does not then afford that person the right to harass or harangue.

Yes, it was a very stupid thing to do. I will freely admit that and I'll never do it again.

I am tempted to go into the whole freaky story of this thing but I don't want to perpetuate it in any way. I will say only that I asked this person some time ago to go away and leave me alone, and he hasn't, and that scares me.

I'm not going to apologize for being a woman afraid of a creepy guy on the internet. I've met people online and given them my number before, and great friendships have grown out of it. On rare occasions that turns out to be a mistake, and this was one of those occasions.

This is the last I'm going to speak publicly about this, as I don't want to encourage him in any way. From now on I will speak in the thread I started about the subject for which it was intended. Hopefully I will be left alone by this person from now on, both privately and on the boards. I'm crossing my fingers, and I'm refusing to be another woman who backs down and hides out of fear of a man.

Oh, and if anyone needs the PM or email records, I can absolutely back up everything I'm saying.

No it does not , but it does show that a little care in communication methods would have not left that option open..... although I tend not to give out my phone # over the internet to a stranger.

I don't think littlebat acted wantonly or with such complete disregard. Like potroast says, if we do that, we may as well stay inside. This is coming from a woman who married a guy she met on the internet, and who still makes new friends all the time, entirely via the internet. Yes, some of 'em are crazy, most of them aren't.

ST, all but two of your seeds cracked! They're all in soil on my terrace as of today.

SMSs are doing well too. I think I have three of those going right now. I pulled up one of the squirrel-attacked plants because it was just too far gone, and I replanted an SMS seedling in it. So there are now 10 more plants on my terrace than there were a few days ago! And there are 5 pots of soil in the cab with random seeds. Obviously they'll move outside as soon as they outgrow the cab, but that will take some time. They'll stay in there at least through July, and then I'll move them outside to get the August sun.

All the little Connies (and the big ones too) are pluggin' right along! So exciting! I now have 20 plants total...if 10 of those turn out to be female I'll be psyched!!

Oh, here's my question for the day. If you can't take clones once the plants start to flower, and you don't know the sex of the plant until it starts to flower, how does anyone ever take clones in the first place?

You can't take clones once it starts to flower? I haven't thought about cloning, but .. crap. Really?

Yeah, I'm wondering if you can take clones when they preflower, as soon as you can tell gender...?

soon i will post some pics of my garden. im growing white widow, and pineapple dog shit. ive got conquistador seeds but after seeing them herm out on my buddy, havent planted any myself...
im fairly new to indooor, as i recently moved back from maui where i became very spoiled with the sunshine... so far so good though. i recently upgraded to 1000watt bulbs which is making a huge difference.
i will post some pics soon, as i would appreciate some input.

I personally dont give a shit if they hermie on me...I will grow em for seeded buds..fuck it...cant have too many good fuckin seeds. BTW girls...you need to grow them to preflower if you wanna take some for mothers...but with this strain from what I have heard it's best to harvest a plant for seeds and grow a bunch of seeds up...remove the males and get on with it....so...I personally will be keeping one male..and one female I am gonna try to hermie with light sysles to get some fem seeds...we shall see...but they are lookin good today

plant update...one more seed cracked... i think I am gonna have to germ these fuckers in soil...cause they just done seem to like me. BTW. I found a fuckin HYDRO shop a mile from my house today.....how the fuck did I not know that shit existed. wow...I am dumb. anyhow....they have everything i ever wanted and never wanted to order online...so I am more than set now...YAY YUH!!!! Conquistadores...here I come!

That's so awesome you found a hydro shop, Honkey! I'm calling mine tomorrow to see if they have mylar. I looked at an art supply store AND a hardware store and neither place had it! Plus I asked several people at Home Depot and none of them even knew what it was, big surprise. (Why do I go there? WHYYYY???) Or I may just get lazy and order it online. I don't think ordering mylar from an art supply store with my credit card is going to mark me as a pot grower, that one should be pretty safe.

Plants in cab are going insane. I can't believe how fast they're growing! I did the weekly nute change today (still 1/8 tsp of GroAqua and one drop of Superthrive, still 24 hour lighting) and I actually saw roots coming out of the rockwool! SO exciting! I have six plants going in there now, it's crazy. I'll keep 'em in there as long as I can. SMSs are the most robust seeds I've encountered yet, lemme tell ya -- those things are popping up all over, indoors and out!

Short little Connies plugging right along, getting bushier. These plants are for sure of the "short and bushy" variety!

I'm just hoping I have enough veg time to get something off all the seeds I planted outdoors this week. That should be possible, right? Oh, and my other noob question: when you get to the point with your aero/hydro plants where the roots are hanging out of the rockwool, where do you rest them while you're changing the reservoir? Oh, and one last question: when should I change the lighting? Today just ended my second full week of 24/7.

Edit: I ended up ordering some mylar last night from planetnatural.com because they had it for half what the art supply store charged. I couldn't resist also buying some outdoor fertilizer for blooming. I got http://www.planetnatural.com/site/image.html?sku=rainbow-mix-bloom -- it looks like awesome stuff. We shall see!! I also picked up some Schultz African violet fertilizer at Home Depot for the all-commercial outdoor plant. I can't wait to see and taste the difference between the MG/Schultz and the all-organic.

At least it was the bagseed plants, and not the nice ones. Of course, now we'll really get to find out just how sturdy the SMS are.

Oh yeah, what did you drop on the mylar? Someone suggested cut flower wraps as well as mylar wrapping paper, and I realized that yeah, those flower wraps must be hella cheap. Probably different grades and all that.

Pic updates are always nice (even though a bit of a pain).
