Yesterday I officially pollinated my Senora Ampero with PennyWise, If I wasnt so lazy I would use the pollen on my Pennywise #2 pheno but she is in the corner of the room looking great right now... we'll see...

So room2 looks pretty good, starting to fill up nicely again.

SpaceGrin Day 73, this cutting is funny it seems like not much difference between day 55 and day 73 .. I guess I ll see how is the smoke this time. She is looking nice anyway, the usual SpaceGrin small yield. The one I placed in room2 recently is going to be much bigger (she is against the left wall in the upper picture)

Room1 looking ok...
IMG_4786.jpg

the Fuckup PennyWise, she is pretty anyway, and very frosty only not happy lol. She still has a month to go ... woops! I am going to let the soil dry for 4-5 days before next watering and I will just give her water to the end ,... she wont have a single fan leaf come harvest time.

I received some seeds in the mail a few days ago... I will wait for this summer to start the Sativas but I am tempted to put the 2 Ancient OG seeds in a glass of water!!

I cleaned the tent up this morning, I also moved all the wiring up on top and moved the carbon filter to improve airflow. I also put a tarp down again instead of the saucers ....its nice now I have more space in the tent again. I should have done this stuff a long time ago.

I transplanted Crisco #1 in the tent as well. Look at the fat leaves on the senora ampero, so much bigger than the mother plant, I kept topping the mother plant so she looks so different... crazy how the same cutting can look so different depending on the way you grow it.

IMG_4805.jpgIMG_4806.jpgIMG_4803.jpg

Tomorrow morning I will plant a couple Ancient OG and as soon as they pop up I will move them to budding room until they show sex.

I was looking at brix meters on amazon. Trying to figure out how they work. They are fairly inexpensive. Around $30. I may get one. I want to see how it works out for you first. I do sst every other watering. I think that may produce enough sugars. I remember Cann saying he doesn't use molasses or teas anymore. He said he got more sugars from sst than molasses. That was early on in rols thread or his thread before he disappeared.

plants looking great.

sorry for my ignorance but what are sst?

Another thing I am contemplating buying soon is a tester kit for THC and CBD. What do you guys think of them? Id love to know what my keepers are like. What I care about is ease of use and of course accuracy but it could be plus or minus 2% and thats cool, I should say legit results that you can trust instead of accuracy...

I use mung beans. Barley seeds unhulled are very hard to find.

I get the mung beans at sprouts, clarks nutrition, or mothers market. I don't know if any of those stores are at the north pole. Any organic market that has bins of nuts, seeds, beans that you pour into a bag yourself is a good place to go. I pay $2 a pound. Its 2oz or 1/4 cup of seeds / beans to a 5 gal seed sprout tea. Spend $10 and you got sst's for a very long time.

right on brother I have some barley or something similar to it that was sitting unused in the pantry. I placed them (maybe 2 cups) in a 5 gallons bucket with 1-2 liters of water, I plan to let them soak for 3 days, drain the water, then leave them in the 5 gallons with no water for 8-10 hours and then more water for another 2-3 days. After that I will blend everything and use in 2 5 gallons bucket filled with water. Does it make any sense?

On to a different topic, I have decided to take it to the next level,
http://montanabiotech.com/
Even the guy in the demo video fucks up at the end and its kind of funny but I got to risk and try the kit because if I wait for labs to open up in Canada it might take another 2 years... I really want to know what my keepers are like. If you guys have any experience with those or heard about them please let me know. I bought mine and I am not sure when I ll get it but I ll post everything on the thread when I get the kit!

EDIT: are they going to fix the LIKES option it kind of sucks without it...

Yeah you got it. I do cootz method. I soak for 10 hours. Then drain and rinse then rest on a damp cloth for 10 hours. Then repeat all that one more time. Then puree / blend then add to water.

I don't know shit about how to test for cbd and thc levels. If you can do it yourself . That would be the way. Alot of labs are b.s. So

you only soak for 10 hours each time? I read somewhere 2-3 days but not sure the info was legit. You have no poo/animal product in your soil anymore, straight veganic? your plants are looking great! On the pictures the lights dont appear to be very intense?

notes: I cleaned the room2 tonight, cleaned the fans and all. I moved the SpaceChemo in room2 as well so tomorrow will be day 1 flowering. She is nice she will get fat...hopefully!!

version 1.0 set was soak for a day then drain and rinse then soak for 2 more days. Then discard seeds and use the water. Version 2.0 is what I described in the post before. Both versions cootz came up with. Both are in the rols thread. Alternative's are fresh young coconut water or diatistic malted barley flour(hard to find locally too).

I haven't used guano in over a year. Before I started doing rols. Been using crab meal, and soft rock phosphate instead. Occasionaly fish meal. I used bu's blend compost once which is made from cow manure. Also used as bedding in old worm bin. I think cow and alpaca manure is better than guano. Since both animals have multiple stomach
making their manure probiotic after composting. I haven't used any in a while.

I don't know how you can tell intensity from a pic. Plus I have a shitty camera.. Those lights have quite a bit intensity. I learned that the last batch. I had them at 8 inches away and kept raising it. Eventually ending at 16 inches away. Any closer the led's will burn the plants.

your plants and party cups looking good.

right on thanks hyroot. I ll start playing around with sst. I just cleaned up my basement and i am in the process of installing a ''watering station'' and a better trimming table. I also painted the plywood walls in the basement. I had a hard time to find the motivation to do teas with the old setup but I am starting to re-organize everything for my little operation to be much more efficient.

For a while I was considering starting all over, destroying room1 and room2 and just create one big budding room but I have decided to get the best of this setup first, no point expanding if I cant stay on top of everything as it is right now. Not to mention both budding rooms are already dialed in (good ambient temps and RH whether the lights are on or off).

I am ready to take it to the next level now, still some goofin around in the near future but by next fall the whole setup is going to be dialed in and the budding rooms always full, fuller, bigger plants.

someone asked me in my new thread about sst. So I reposted everything about it from the rols and cann's thread. So you don't have to spend forever digging through the rols thread.

why do they have to be unhulled? I bought hulled barley, will i get similar results? also do you use a food processor to make a puree or the blender is ok with mini chunks in it? I did my first application yesterday, looking forward to see how the plants respond. The beans were not quite ready (taproot was only half their size) but I used some anyway. The water was almost milky color, much paler.

Hulled means they removed the outer shell and most of the time the process removes the embryo. They don't sprout. I use a blender with a cup of water. The food processor just shoots them all over the container not able to puree them. Because their too small. Maybe if I try q different blade..... The blender works fine

I purchased a ''worm inn'' with 1 lb of red wigglers ...http://www.worm-composting.ca/products-page-2/worm-inn/worm-inn-2/ it should be good to get me going. If I like how it works I ll buy another one later but they say its big enough for 3-4 lb of worms so one might be good enough for my grow too... I will simply hang this near my watering station in the basement. Ok !!! seed sprout teas, worm castings, its starting to look like I am getting closer and closer to a full on ROLS grow!!

The blogger from this website http://www.redwormcomposting.com/ seems to swear by them. I could have built one but they are not as effective for breathability and the worm inn appears to be very convenient and easy to harvest the goodies.
