i was directly addressing what you said.

mitt romney stands a better chance than ron paul in a general because of the electoral map. hell, romney could carry michigan. we saw in 2010 that the rust belt is a big vulnerability for obama, and check out the electoral math if you take away michigan and give it to romney...

like i said, ronald the millionaire CAN NOT win florida. his showing in the primary there (or at least the polls so far) is direct evidence of this. paul can pull 20-25% in iowa and nh, he can pull 15% in sc, but he can not even break 10% in florida.

do the electoral math, florida has 29 electors. kerry's map, which gives iowa and nh to ron paul, adds up to 271 for obama if you toss in florida.

Romney would not carry Michigan lmao. I am from Michigan...and its either Obama or Ron Paul here...Much of this state lives in a depression for many years, the state turned red, and its going to vote for change, and further it will vote for medical marijuana and states rights because we have many activists on that front.

No liberal in their right mind should vote for Ron Paul. He's an extreme republican in the worst way. He's not likable by most Republicans because the typical extremes they show today, he does not share.

To sum RP up, he wants to take us back to 1913. It's too bad he's really right about a lot of things nobody else is, and he's a nice guy, but that in no way begins to qualify him for anything. And any idiot can say "I am going to get rid of this and that and the other thing" and show NO way of how they are going to do it or how it will have an effect on society. It's ridiculous, people need to stop focusing on JUST the things he's SEMI right about and read up on EVERYTHING he supports and WHY.

Maybe no liberal senator should but every liberal citizen should vote for Ron because he is the only one on their side with many social issues such as the drug war and the wars. You are parroting insiders just like Uncle Bucky..

That is completely false. Liberals don't want all drugs to be legal. They want POT to be legal. And there is a big, huge ASTRONOMICAL difference between weed and many other drugs. RP doesn't REALLY want drugs to be legal, what he wants is STATE rights to decide so the Fed does not. RP is a bible thumping jesus follower, not so liberal there. He wants to overturn roe v wade, end unions, against amnesty, thinks the rich shouldn't pay more, wants to end the IRS (most liberals are FINE with paying their DUES when they are spent WISELY). He's completely against environmentalists going as far as wanting to eliminate the EPA. He actually thinks polluters should answer directly to property owners by court! lol! Seriously! No restrictions, just answer to individuals IF you get caught by them and they can prove it... unreal. He wants to remove all restrictions on drilling for oil so we can tap into it here while destroying the environment .

I want drugs to be legal. Prohibition doesn't work. That isn't limited to just just cannabis and alcohol, it's true universally with drugs. The drug war failed and everyone knows it.

I'd rather people buy their crack and meth at a store for non-black market prices so they don't have to steal my car stereo to buy their drugs. Drugs could also have safety standards if they were not black market commodities. It would also make identifying the addict populations easier so treatment could be offered.

I don't see why drugs should be illegal. If keeping them illegal actually stopped people from using them, then I'd agree with keeping them illegal. But clearly that's not the case.

Agreed on everything else you said there though.

I think keeping them illegal DOES keep people from using them to some degree. What it DEFINITELY does is help keep them away from kids. Pot isn't a big deal but do you want to see droves of young children addicted to meth? Any drug that is highly addictive is going to take off like a rabid disease if made legal. Dealers are going to see big $$$ signs and kids and really.. anyone and everyone possible will be a target. Short term it would be pure hell and chaos. Long term who knows, we might end up with less drug problems but I don't personally think it's worth it. For some drugs, there's no good reason for them to be legal.

The game is down to 3 players. The issue at hand is who is going to end cannabis prohibition.

Obama, he made a show of trying, but then backed down to political pressure, Maybe in his second term?

should every state have the same say?

should sparsely populated wyoming have the same say as bustling california?

THAT would be rigged. and that is how the senate functions. the small states are over-represented immensely. wyoming gets two votes and california gets 2 votes? bullshit.

i agree with you that their should be a balance in set

but i disagree with the electoral system period

it should still be majority vote

where you are in the country shouldnt matter

it should matter by how many people voted for you

the way the electoral system is setup is gives the people in states with less population less say
