I don't want to appear ignorant, but I am looking for first hand experiences of radiation treatment for the big C. A close family member has just undergone surgery to remove cancer and has been told that they will need this. My self appointed job is to live with/help this person once treatments starts and I am hoping someone whom has gone through this can tell me what I can expect.
I understand that fatigue is a major issue, but how long does it linger? Larger doses make things worse I would assume. Is there a standard dosage/regime that they stick with or does it vary greatly?
What types of foods are most appealing?
My family and I have been fortunate so far not to have been touched by life threatening Cancer, but now its personal.
I don't have any experience here and I seriously don't even know what I should be asking.
Thanks.
