Oh yes, you made the right choice.
That will take longer overall, as you let it recover from the tie-down,
but it will return the difference in the yield.

I've been topping and doing a lot of LST all along. I followed this tutorial to begin with actually, but then chickened out when I saw how full and beautiful they had become.
That one is Critical Kush. I also have a Blue Dream the same age that was pruned exactly the same way as the CK. Also, I have a bigger Jack Herer that is a little late, but I got her down to 24-30 tops which is much more manageable that in was before.
I'll post pics of the other two as well. It is always amazing how fast they recover, even after a haircut.
