Thanks for checking it out tusseltussel! The Space bomb seems to take to ML real well, you should totally give it a whirl! DUB
i thought about putting clay pebbles on top of the soil, so the soil wont dry up by the heat. is it better? My first go at ML start 12/12 tomorrow.
Two four headers and the other five are 8 bangers.
I also have eight 8 headers in a vert cab ready to flower. They will be scrogged vert MLs, will see how that turns out.
All plants are in SS, I put hydroton (leftover from my dwc days) on the soil surface kinda like a mulch of sorts, anywho, never did that before... I already see the benefits, looks nice too.

Yeah it'll help keep moisture in from evaporation keeping the soil from getting hard and crusty,,, also slows down water thus keeping splashing down and compaction of soil. Nice even soaking across the surface.i thought about putting clay pebbles on top of the soil, so the soil wont dry up by the heat. is it better?

I really like this "main lining" technique so far.. not only is this subbed but im making it a bookmark
The only thing I don't like is the constant chopping of new growth such a waste of energy.. Does the growth between where the first node splits ever stop growing? Otherwise it makes it seem difficult to justify the increased veg time (although I guess it could be justified for separate veg/flower rooms since veg takes so much longer but then the same issues are still present).
Actually having said that the only thing that strikes me about this technique is how the branches mold together as one... and the initial pictures make it difficult to see how its done properly.
edit: Ok so maybe they dont "mold" together he just chopped off the feeders for no reason, more wasted plant matter... what is actually the point of this?? You would probably get better results just constantly topping as thats prettymuch what it looks like anyway.
....with this beautiful Ace of Spades, i built a foundation to support 8 long equal colas, none discriminated by the root mass........at first, a node is left below the "hub" to produce two perfect clones....after they are removed, the two mains are pruned for four and bonded to the trunk.....
shoulden't it be "a node is completely removed below the "hub" for some reason"?? He planted that whole thing he chopped off right?
