It's an age thing. For some reason, the "Ant and the Grasshopper" stopped being told to kids at some point. Everybody who are my age has heard it. It is much more powerful than the "turtle/rabbit" parable. I wonder why that simple story, "hard work yields rewards and is necessary, sloth and laziness yields failure", has been abandoned?
