I can comment, because I was raised in a bible household. I reject that sort of thinking as primitave.
If there is a god why are there so many horrible things going on as we speak? Why would god invent cancer, or aides, or starvation, or any of the many other things that afflict the citizens of the Earth?

Man was created to live forever until Adam disobeyed; then death was pronounced by God upon mankind. Is it "fiction" that all men die and continue to die since Gods pronouncment of death? Evidence that God is Truth and what he says and does is not "fiction" is in the obituarys every day.
When God pronounced death man became imperfect, unlike when man was first created. Man became suseptable to diseases and death simply because man was NOT perfect anymore.
Does God create starvation or do man made governments allow it to happen? Does God cause AIDS or do those who go against Gods will (homosexuals) cause it?
Why do you blame God who has given mankind & governments free will on all issues?

You haven't read it I assume Miss.. it was required reading for my sophomore english class... along with 1984.. both equally important, seriously reading these books gives on the creepy feeling of reading a blueprint for the future.. when you learn about the backgrounds of the authors, that feeling is intensified..

It really is a great read- I'd suggest it to anyone...
The soma situation in that book also is exactly where we are going with the psychological drugs as well...
