OK ghetto growers im gonna be measuring for my new ghetto grow cab im going to build...so soon i will be posting pix of the box im going to be building ;-)

the proposed dimensions are going to be 3 feet high ... 3 feet wide ... and 4 feet long ..

its is going to be a sectioned off bottom of a closet that is basically going to be 1/3 of the closet but it is all going to be built out of easy to find stuff

im gonna use some old plywood i have around for the top and front of the box and some old shelf brackets i have to hold it all up

then my wife don't know it yet but im gonna swipe her spray glue to stick up my 2 Mylar emergency blankets inside so ill have a nice reflective surface

ill be using left over storm door weather stripping to seal cracks and duct tape on the inside since it is mildly reflective also and a DIY carbon filter out of a 80 to 120 mm computer fan and charcoal in some configuration(yet to be determined)

the lighting is going to be two 2 foot shop lights(dual 4100K bulbs) on either side or possibly across the back as side lighting for the pots and also 2 150 watt equivalent CFL's on dangle chains coming down from the top with the combination of them all and the Mylar reflectiveness it will give me 2700 lumans per square foot inside the cab allowing me to run 2 and even possibly 3 plants on a perpetual SCROG ...

whelp gonna start the build today sometime...ill post up some pix when i get it done so y'all can see what i came up with :)

from the dimensions i got(actual) looks to me like ill be able to get 4 plants in it once im done and still leave a little room for a little clone starter section over on the side ... this ought to be fun as hell :)
 
To be honest, my grow enclosures / rooms, are kinda ghetto, but they're less so now than when I first started out. There's some pretty good ideas on the few pages I've gone through, I must admit I'm quite impressed.

i just found 42w cfls at my wal-mart. i dont know how i missed them. especially since ive been down that isle looking for them countless times. unfortunately i threw one of my plants out today and put the other one outside. word of advice. dont start growing weed when you're fucked up...especially soma coma'ed out. no big deal though. now its time to start a more serious grow. and who knows maybe the one outside will take off...or get me busted lol

wuddup everybody!! jus got my new comp up n running =) jus puttn some pics up of how the rooms setup now. i harvested the 2 big gals a while ago, got sum killer smoke =D about 2-3 ounces off each plant =)
but the pics, 1st is the flowering setup(cfls turned off FYI) 2nd is super silver haze clones cut about 2 weeks ago(vegg room). and the 3rd is the trichs on my lemon haze clone (furthest right) thts been flowering about 30 days :weed: i can deffinatly see a big increase in resin on these clones then on the mother plants. :clap:

Ahhh, after looking at this thread I am so anxious to get some dank nugs....by guy is totaly unreliable and have been waiting on some headies since Friday....fkn suxz....I wish Attitude would hurry the hell up and get my order here....waiting on 3 orders but the 1st is the one I care about cuz I want to start some autos and have limited time to finish...
 
so i switched the lights to 12/12 last night and started the flowering nutes. i was able to get in a weeks worth of worm castings (1-0-0) and have also topped the soil with some. the flowering nutes are mixed at 1/4 strength with a full tablespoon of bat guano (0-7-0). old bean is 19 days old and new bean is 15. the plants used just about 2 gallons of water to this point watering twice a day, everyday. i still cant believe the difference in using soil over hydro, still dont know what i did wrong. now if they would just be females.
 
So my baby, Jill, has been harvested this morning and is in the curing process right now... it's sad but exciting. I was having fun growing her. Guess Ill have to wait for summer. Check out my grow journal for it all but here are some pictures.

Btw, LST works the greatest wonders ever. Best for ghetto grows in my opinion
 
I have four plants I need to kill tonight, but I am too high to fuck with it. I may just jerk them out of the hydro unit and hang them. I usually pull the big fan leaves before I hang them up, but it works either way.

haha. thanks zoso, you too man. Is that a big ol' 65 watter CFL above that plant of yours? Looks really good though. How big's the pot?
 
heyy everyone, i just found a killer deal ona 150 watt hps. 89.99 for the whole setup :)
im wondering how much suare feet this will cover? with a few cfls thrown in for side lighting will it flower 4 smaller (1-2 foot) plants?
