The old vet vs the solar guy, 6 plant 4k grow

Here are a few pictures from the grow so far.
D.P - stretched pretty tall and already has purple buds. She's 6'5 including pot. Smells super spicy.

B.D - I think she looks pretty damn good. Probably my prettier ones. Smells like a dew melon?!

LFB - Probably the fattest and has the most crystals on her already. She Smells like roadkill.

P.H. - eh, she's not flowering yet. She looked kind of jacked from the start. Mutant looking.

S.D. - I ended up taking her outside for some sun. GF thought it looked pretty so we left it. She's pretty too.

GTH #1 - same as above. Trying to move her back in tho. She's chunky and full.

I love the size containers and how big your plants get. I hope someday im not confined to a 4x4 for flower and I can grow big ladies like yours indoors.

Week number 6.

Purple haze is just starting flower after being in the flower room for 6 weeks. Still produces mutant leaves.

LFB is looking fantastic.

Durban poison is purple and getting fat.

Blue dream is filling with crystals.

Coming along.

Getting close on THE LFB. Will probably chop her Friday.

Blue dream starting to swell, 2 more weeks on her.

Purple haze very very slowly coming along. 3 days from week 8.

Your plants are looking great! Personally I wouldn't even be thinking about harvesting any of them though. I'm just going to drop this here. You do with it as you please.

The signs of ripeness are pretty standard for cannabis plants.

First a few of the pistils begin turning color and start receding. Your plant is just starting to ripen. Depending on the strain you could still have two months to go. We're just starting this journey.

Two to four weeks later you'll notice that most of the pistils(>80%) have now changed color and curled back into the bud. It's frosty, way bigger than it was a few weeks ago(aren't you glad you waited), and smells dank! It's time, right? Not a chance killer. Patience is a virtue.

Over the next 2-3 weeks it doesn't look much different, maybe a little more swelling in the calyxes, and the rest of the pistils change over, but the stems are starting to bend under the weight of the buds. These ladies are putting on weight internally by adding density and now the buds are doing their final ripening.

Now you begin looking at trichomes, on the calyx, not the leaves, and harvest according to your preference. When looking at trichomes it’s essential to look at them from the side. The bulbous heads can magnify the opaque stalk under it. Looking from the side allows you to more accurately see the condition of the resin in the trichome head.

There is still no rush to harvest, the window just opened, and you have several weeks before you MIGHT start having to think about it possibly beginning to get too ripe. It takes WEEKS for plants to mature not days.

It is very easy to harvest a plant to early. It is very hard to harvest a plant to late. I’ve never seen someone accidentally wait too long.

I have planted with FF soil and MG performance organics and the same time/same strain. Wasn't done as a test, but rather necessity, as I ran out of FF.

Unexpectedly the MG preformed noticeably better, which was u expected. I read some not so great things about MG organics. It worked out great for me. Will be interested to see the results here.

Did you add any perlite to the MG? I'm kinda in that situation, but was just going to buy more ff. I have this half bag of MG though and after reading what you wrote thought maybe I'll give it a try. I added 20% more perlite to the ffof this second grow and it's done much better than my first grow.

I've noticed slower growth with MG.
