If you look at the buds, you can see it's mstly only the dried bud leaves that are purple. A lot of "purple" growers just use the cold room trick to turn the leaves purple, and then the grower neglects to trim the purple leaves.

big bud is plain and bland. they use big bud to bulk things up without washing out the flavor. big big X purple gives you thicker purple. that is all.

been there, tried them all. purple sucks. IMO. :weed:

FDD does have a good point. Who the fuck wants to smoke purple widow? or purple diesel?

ANd if i remember correctly, purple is a weak phenotype, especially compared to white.

i got a guy saying he has some gods gift which is og kush crossed with GDP, but says yield is pretty crappy.. still thinking gdp so i can at least have somethin to smoke when im done LOL

i checked craigslist the other day and all they had were purple clones. i did see these "strawberry cough X deep chunk" so i grabbed them. someone now tells me it's a purple strain. FUCK!!!!!! :cuss:



i have some black queen moms just starting that i am really excited about. but no clones.
 
Sorry to interrupt...ALL i have to say is, FDD shut up. You sound like an ole cushion ass bitch. You posted your opinion on the strain and answered the question at hand, great job. in the mind of many consumers, exotic = desirable, plain and simple.

the thought process then becomes, cross any strain with purple and it becomes more exotic and thus more desirable. however, when someone with experience who knows what there talking about, like FDD, looks at purple strains they look past the hype and can see that purple is only a color and not representative of anything related to better quality
 
the OP seems to know this, he is just looking for more info on a strain that happens to be purple. i would like to know more about GDP also.

anyone else on topic?

notice NO ONE has anything to say? 'cause it's lame. all they can say is it's purple. lololololololololol can't see past the hype.
 
i look at it like this and im going to restate myself for the reputation of the purple

fdd is a great grower with tons of EXP stop attacking him but...

purple power by nirvana, NOT GDP, grown organically is very sweet tasting and a very delcious purple strain.

it does not knock you out with its 15% thc, but since it tastes so good, its very enjoyable to smoke.

the actual buds have purple tint, while the rest of the plant is green

i want to disagree that purple sucks, while it is hyped, its just really mediocre dodo. i would prefer a white strain.
