The Tamir Rice Story: How to Make a Police Shooting Disappear

:clap::clap: And it only took you a day and a half.

You asked: "How does a 12-year-old boy with a toy gun on a playground get shot to death on-camera by the police without anyone getting charged? Put another way: How does a small group of government officials make this case disappear without a trial? Here’s how."

I answered your question, and you get all snotty about it. Prosecutors are the most powerful people in American law enforcement. They decide who gets prosecuted.

Wrong. The most powerful people in American law enforcement are the police, as they are allowed to play "God" with seemingly no repercussions.

As shitty as they are at their job, I doubt that it would make much difference.
We should push for a test city. Put stacks of body bags at all intersections in black neighbourhoods, and no cops or fire or ems at all to cross into the dark zone.

Let the dark zone police itself.

I'm all for it. Sorry mufuckas are no heroes of mine.

Have you been fortunate enough to watch the HBO series from the early 2000's called The Wire? Setting up areas within an urban environment there would be no policing. On the show it worked out ok.
The Wire, lol. I thought that you were serious.

That was based on a true story. The old police chief is still an advocate of legalizing drugs and gives talks at colleges about it.

You misunderstood. I was making light of you thinking 'the hood' would be ok of all law enforcement and similar agencies just left. As long as you were the war Lord that emmerged, like Stringer Bell was trying to be on The Wire, only to be undone.

That shit only works out well on t.v.

maybe we should privativize the police force......let the freemarket decide..

Despite your sarcasm and free market illiteracy, I still love you.

The present system of policing already operates like a monopolistic war lord set up. When you forcibly prevent competition in a given service area, and make the enforcers (cops) largely immune from their actions you create a recipe for what is happening now.

When was the last time a police unit investigating itself or one of its members spanked itself ? It doesn't happen, There's a reason, under the present setup their "customers" are captive and can't go to another service provider. That creates the problems, when customer feedback is removed, any real free market regulation of the actions of the service provider aren't present, which is a bad thing.

Should grocery stores be run as a monopoly too ? How about any other kind of service, should there be choices for consumers or should one size fits all be the ONLY choice people are allowed ?

that's kinda how Mexico does it......it works for them.....righto_O

From my vantage point, they're already privatized.

An entity which holds a monopoly in a given service area by force, rather than thru consensual trade could be privatized, but all things which are privatized aren't necessarily "free market".

The element that makes a free market free, is consumer choice is always present. The element which makes a government monopoly unfree, is the lack of choice.

There is a significant difference, which many people fail to recognize or comprehend.

From my vantage point, human interactions which involve consent from all involved parties are superior to those which don't.
