why did you try to frame it in terms of white/european civilizations as being more advanced though?

seems like the type of thing that someone who spends an inordinate and lopsided amount of time worrying about al shrpton would do.

Not at all Buck. I was just citing examples that I thought were representative of the point I was trying to make. I don't care which people did what in history. But there are differences. I was just wondering why.

Edit: Just to illustrate this further, if I gave you a swiss army knife, a box of matches and a pile of lint and told you to start a fire, you'd probably have a better time than the kid who started out with a straw, a pencil and a magnifying glass.. Those with the better start usually have the better finish, right..?

Eurasians had the better start (more plants and animals to domesticate), natives of the Americas had a fraction of the livestock Eurasia had (something like 15/3) which resulted in a diminished immune system from a lack of exposure to common Eurasian pathogens via carrier insects like fleas. Not to mention the benefit of domesticated livestock on plowing fields, hauling equipment and carrying food, etc.. It's clear, the societies that had large, docile animals that could work or be used for food had a significant edge over those that didn't..
