There's an understatement.
The Joint Strike Fighter Project is a $1.5 TRILLION DOLLAR boondoggle that has spiraled so far out of control it's partially responsible for destabilizing or nations economic future. All by itself.
How bad is it? In the 21st Century, a combat aircraft with a pilot in it is OBSOLETE. Nevermind the fact that it can't hit its performance targets.
Its sole remaining mission is the impoverishment of our country for the enrichment of Lockheed Martin shareholders. It is succeeding at this mission 'admirably'.

Sounds about right. I was working in an apartment and the tenant started babbling about how she worked in the VA she just retired from there and how she screwed all these vets cause she didn't want to spend time with them and how she hopes nobody finds out cause she could lose her pension. She was talking on the phone with her girlfriends and doing other stuff instead of her job and then she starts crying. Like I should feel sorry for her and poor her this and that, she feels so bad now. I just told her "I'm not the guy you should be telling this to but I wonder how bad those people who came to you for help must have felt." The guy who owns the place is a Vietnam vet and a friend of mine so I left and told him what she said. She had to move out after that.

My first cousin works for the DoD, helping to ensure that defense companies don't overspend their contracts.
He's a good Methodist and I honestly don't know how he can work at a job that essentially legitimizes such an incredible fraud against humanity and still keep his sanity.

I think if we globalize and strike cannabis laws from international law, that shit is going to be so lucrative that it's going to break the Universe with how good of an idea it is. And we will be a big exporter of top shelf bud.
Plus the other extra shit like biofuels and global warming reversal.

I don't see how a movement can be successful without telling the people it wants to influence what they want. The article you linked to discussed the violence that ended the protests. Yet, the protesters were camped out in the middle of a major city. I admired the passion and commitment of the protesters but I couldn't figure out what they wanted. Maybe this is a due to your biased and corrupt press. What do you think they wanted?
The water savers, on the other hand, are making mature and clear communications and backing it with commitment and passion as well. The result was a victory for now, not without cost in blood. There is a sense that Trump will be willing to ignore the cost in blood of smashing the protest in order to push the pipeline through. We'll see what kind of leader he is through his handling of the pipeline protests.

Look, man. I don't have anything against you either, and I'm not trying to make you feel like shit about it. That's between you, your conscience, and your former cohorts. For your sake, though, you should probably atone if they're angry. People get killed for that shit where I'm from. Goes back to that honor thing. I'm sure you feel some sense of guilt about it, and I'm not trying to treat you like shit for it. All I can say is better luck next time and focus on how you should be in the future.

Yes. Absolutely. If you shoot, though, you must shoot to kill, or they can possibly sue you for giving them a permanent disabling injury. Guns aren't meant to wound, they are meant to kill.
