Can I smoke at the event?
An outdoor Prop 215 section of the expo facility will be available and will accommodate the needs of California medical marijuana patients. Medical professionals will be available on site.
In accordance with California law, which does not recognize out-of-state medical marijuana cards or certifications, only California residents with a California doctor’s recommendation or California medical marijuana card will be allowed to enter the Prop 215 area.

How to apply for or renew an identification (ID) card

DMV issues two types of ID cards. A regular ID card valid for six years, and a senior citizen ID card valid for 10 years. To qualify for a senior citizen ID card, you must be age 62 or older.
To apply for an ID card you will need to do the following:

  • Visit a DMV office (make an Appointment(s) for faster service)
  • Complete application form DL 44 (An original DL 44 form must be submitted. Copies will not be accepted.)
  • Give a thumb print
  • Have your picture taken
  • Provide your social security number. It will be verified with the Social Security Administration while you are in the office.
  • Verify your birth date and legal presence (you may use your California driver license)
  • Pay the application fee. (No fee for a senior citizen ID card.)

They care a great deal more about you being born in the USA than anything else FYI. They barley looked at the address's we provided which are not actually the place we live.
Now you will need a DL and a Birth Certificate or the trump card a Passport.

i aint that sharp, so lets see if ive got that right...

i from a nazi state, i go on vaction for a cup....i bring all my documants, dl, pp,twick,birth cert and a note from my mother, i fake a addy..get a cali state id, go to the doc for a rec use card, get in the cup legally on the the same day? say its so friends!!!!

^^^pretty much. At the san fran cup last year anyone could have walked right past the medical check in and no one would have said anything or seen anything. super low key. The inside is pointless the whole event was basically outside in the smoking session.

ughh isnt that illegal to do it that way? getting a PO box and then getting an ID that way? isnt that some sort of fraud since you are purporting that you are a resident of the state?

Good lord dude, most of the shit on here is completely illegal... and you are worried about giving a fraudulent address? Give me a brake.

It's just a state ID anyway, a mailing address is the only thing needed. Homeless people can get a state issued ID as long as they have a forwarding address for post.

yeah i know most of the stuff people do here is illegal, but it is done in the PRIVACY of their own homes. so as long as they can keep their mouth shut its safer. this goes into a database and is much easier to trace, thats my only concern

Asked and answered... don't shoot the messengers. If you're like me you're just not going to do this, not because it's illegal but it's a lot of hassle and expense if you're not actually living in CA :)

No one still answered my question... are the nerds in general risking going into the database and getting the state med card or are you sticking with just the doctor's authorization? I can see good arguments for and against both... curious what others think

Also if you get the state card, are you sticking to the AG recommended limits (12 immature/6 mature/8oz) or are you going with doctor's recommendation limits?

nothing wrong with being catious my man. Its all fun and games till these folks living in a super liberal state try those stupid human tricks in another not so friendly state, reality will kick em good!

Like I stated before, nothing illegal about giving a PO box. Look at the damned application. All it asks for is a mailing address.

The only database you are going into is the DMV. You only need a doctors rec to get into the cup.

Some of you guys are just pussies.... Nerd the fuck up! If you ase worried about being 1 in a million on a state registry, something is wrong in your life.

^^^^^^ right, if you were to move to cali, or anywhere else, the first thing you would do is get a cali id.....perhaps you have not found a place to buy or rent right away...you would get a PO box for your forwarded mail, and proceed with life......10's of 1000's of people do it everyday nationwide.......there is a line between paranoia or unjustified fear, and legitimate security concerns....this would happen to fall into the former.

man do i feel lucky, i germed 1 jack the ripper seed and got 2 plants!. they both look very similar in veg so would i be right in assuming they are identical twins?

Our really country friends from Maine came to the Cali Cup and they milk there own cows and grow there own veggies and they came to the Cup with us.
This is Who I got the game plan from.

This is NOT Illegal many people have Cali ID Cards
It's Not Illegal to get Mail
It's Not Illegal to obtain a med card
